Nets: Donte, TSJ, our pick 59 drafted player
Bulls: Claxton
Hornets: Randle
Wolves: Melo
This is what i am hoping happens. A reworking of prior trade. I do not want to add our 2033 1st at all!!! And in general i am against adding Melo. This also eliminates the TPE and won't hardcap us.
Melo
Ant
Jaden
Naz
Gobert
Ayo
Isiah
Beringer
Clark

Rudy has to be in the trade financially assuming Naz and Jaden are not in the trade.
Would you do Rudy + TSJ or 33 or 32 pick swap. Do we need to add more than Rudy. Lamelo has such weird value.
Lamelo and Beringer would be a super fun combo.
Wolves would go from a super slow team to a super fast team.
Give me Lamelo be asking for him forever
Melo could be folded into the Julius trade, in theory but I assume the Hornets would be looking at Rudy in this scenario. I think the timing of this reporting might indicate the option of adding this into the Julius trade.
Tonight Matt Lloyd addressed the fact that teams have already been contacting them since they have that trade exception to absorb salaries etc. Connelly is always calling teams ( it's his job) but now the Wolves are a team that can accept salary so they are gonna be looped into just about any deal because teams may be seeing if they will find a way to make the trade work.
My preference woulda been to take on a bad contract using the TPE and aquire draft assets to strengthen our cupboard.

LaMello’s salary next season is $40.7 million. So I don’t think we can acquire him using our $33 trade exception. Using the TE would hard cap us at the 1st apron of $209M. We’re currently at $175M, which means Ball’s salary would push our payroll above 1st apron up to $215M. Further, Charlotte is not in a cap squeeze so they wouldn’t be looking to dump salary. So it would have to be Rudy since I think it’s obvious it would not be Jaden, Naz or Ayo. Maybe Rudy + TSJ + Clark + our 2033 first? I don’t know. Would they really swap Ball for Rudy without getting more from the Wolves? I doubt it. So who would the Wolves have to include?
It would have to be Julius and Donte going out which would eliminate the 33m trade exception altogether. Or its Rudy.

Is Evan Porter credible? He has posted a couple cryptic tweets in the last hour.
I don't know how the Wolves expect me to get good sleep when they keep burning the midnight oil.

I would prefer to have Quickly come back to us.
Avoiding TPE use hardcap:
Bulls: Claxton, Cash considerations via Hornets
Nets: Randle
Wolves: Quickley
Hornets: Evans, Dick, Raps 2027 protected1st, Wolves 2028 1st pick swap

I'm going to float this name one more time - Anthony Davis. I could see it happening in a Rudy leaving deal of some type.

If we re-open that Randle trade, we could then send Rudy, Donte, 2033 protected 1st for Davis. But then we would have two players who play 60% of their career games. Lol.
Melo
Ant
Jaden
Davis (Davis HATES playing center)
Naz
Ayo
TSJ
Clark
Beringer

That guy is not credentialed but he did have the garland and the KD trade first, so not a complete random account

Does Lamelo fit Ant timelime?
Im so for this. I hope Rudy goes not that he cant help us but it’s time for the band aid to be removed.
I want 5 out and all the space in the world for Ant.
