Thanks for the rundown FNG and Monster.
I know the T-Wolves PR machine is trying to do everything possible to shine the best light on LaMelo (probably with a lot of help from Jon K), but man, he is pretty dick-ish with the local writers/podcasters. He's so blatantly terse and vague with his answers to their questions that it comes off as trolling.
Watch the Grady interview with Ant. He’s very different and likable. I don’t think he’s been “dick-ish” in his other interviews. Dick-ish is Gregg Popovich at a press conference.

Ant had his first post-practice interview scrum since Media Day and when asked who stood out to him the most in camp he IMMEDIATELY said Cody Williams. He said he guards like no one else, which is saying a lot considering the fact Jaden and Clark are on the team. Interesting tid-bit.

By all accounts it’s that LaMelo has had to deal with media since he was early in high school. He just has a guard up and doesn’t go too in depth, but that he’s nice to everyone from the custodian to the top person

I mean, the media asks basketball based politicalized questions. Why shouldn't Melo answer back in the same manner? If the media always wants to ask the same old song n dance questions over and over and over again through the years to literally every and any player, Melo should give them the boring responses they deserve.

You nailed it, WW. In my opinion, LaMelo is the sanest man in the Ball family, and the best thing that happened to him was when he got out of the country and far away from the circus. I think anyone of us would have our guard up also if we grew up under the spotlight like he did. I'm just fine with his robotic answers in pressers...way more concerned with his relationship with his teammates and other employees, and all reports are very good.
