And then he has another gettable defensive rebound bounce off his hands. The coaches have to work with him on this a lot...put up 1000 shots and get him used to knowing where the ball is going. Otherwise the non-Rudy minutes are going to be a disaster.

Sigh. Joan doesn't bring down another gettable defensive rebound, and it leads to a Bulls bucket. He is so long and athletic, I think he is going to figure it out...just might not be this season. I think we're going to need Rudy 35 minutes a night.

In my eyes this is a development season for Joan playing with the big boys. There won’t be some amazing leap. He’ll have good games and bad games. But by the end of the season, he should be more consistently better than the beginning of the season.

After having some nice glimpses in his short stints, Reeves has shown us why he hasn’t seen more minutes this preseason…

Yes it is...kudos to Finchy for giving him the minutes. The kid is going to be good, but he's only 19...he's clearly overmatched out there. But he's our backup center, so he's going to play a role this season. The good news? Rudy looks like he is in terrific shape...he should be able to play 35 a night. And if Joan averages 13 a night, fouling is not an issue...if he gets 2 right away, leave him in there. He's not going to foul out.

Nice game for Isaiah Evans! Love the treys, but also nice to see him hit Joan with 2 nice feeds...one that resulted in a flush, and one where Joan clearly got fouled. I have no idea where Evans is going to end up, but tonight is promising.

Fun game from mostly our reserves...my thanks to the Wolves scrubs for getting me through a lonely Friday night in Tucson after my baseball game got "winded out" (some 40 MPH gusts!).
