Four assists isn't a great number but I wonder how many potential assists he ended up with cause it's not like he didn't try and make some plays and move the ball throughout the course of the game.

No doubt he got tunnel vision at times, I was most frustrated with during the middle of the game, and he absolutely should have passed out the double at the end of regulation. That said, we're really going galaxy brain if we're trying to attribute this lose to him at all when he was +11 in a game they lost by 2.

LaMelo was terrible and they just need him to be better especially on a back to back where he only played 16 minutes the previous game.

They need more from Jaden as well and Rudy's offense was horrendous.
Jaden was on fire in the first quarter and then he was competely frozen out of the offense after that. I don't believe he got a touch the last 6 minutes of the first half. That was Ant's fault. If we haven't seen that we play our best ball when Ant is off the ball and the ball movement is high, I don't know what to say,

Cool, I'm almost as big a fan of Jaden as you are...well, almost :D . But think he has to take some of the blame for his occasional disappearances later in games. I've noticed that he is almost always very active early in games moving without the ball. But often his activity slows as the game progresses, and if you don't work to get open you're not going to get the ball often. Compare his level of off-ball activity to someone like Donte...Donte is always in motion and available for passes. Some of this may be because Jaden always works his tail off on defense...he may be worn out as games go on. Anyway, I think this has more to do with Jaden's off ball activity later in games than Ant's occasional ball hogging.

Other than that, I agree with you...the brand of ball-movement basketball we play when Ant is out is more pleasing at least to this fan's eye.

They should have been forcing the ball to Jaden in my estimation. But Finch took him out in the middle of his run and then when he came back I literally don't think he touched the ball. It was the same time when Ant was feeling himself and not moving the rock. Another thing I noticed last night FNG, is when Ant is on the ball Jaden goes through the motions on his cuts and hardly even looks for the pass, but he is still making cuts. When Melo has it the cuts are sharper and he actively looks for the pass.

One thing I will add is Melo looked timid to me, which spiraled in on itself resulting in a bad game. That will be something to watch for in the coming weeks, especially with ANT out.
