He was not going to make the team, but one of our top prospects has TJ. How common is it for position players to have this?

Twins first-round pick Alex Kirilloff out for season, needs Tommy John surgery

Too bad...I like Kiriloff a lot. Terrific hitter with huge power upside. He's a very good fielding 1Bman, but only average in the OF.

I think it's rare for a position player to have TJ. Sano of course did 2-3 years ago.

I thought he was an outfielder but I honestly had to look him up when I saw the tweet about him having surgery. It's really too bad for young guys to have that type of set back. Hopefully he will come back healthy and do well.
