I had high hope for John Ryan Murphy last year. Hoepfully he does something this year.

I think J.O. Berrios makes the rotation.

To bad we don't have a good RF. I think Kepler would be fine at LF with a big bat at RF. I thought Joe Mauer would be decent out there.

Thanks for posting Bleed. I like Wetmore. He seems to have plenty of knowledge shares his own opinions but states they as that and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Getting Murphy in a trade looked like a pretty solid deal at the time for a team that needed catching. So far it hasn't worked out. That doesn't mean it won't though either.

Other than adding Castro replacing Suzuki the Towns didn't really do anything splashy or particularly significant. However if people stay relatively healthy there will be plenty of roster battles. A guy like Drew Stubbs could find himself on the field if he can hit. The Twins have some guys in the Minors at some positions that could step up. I would be interested in seeing who has minor league options left etc.

Again the starting rotation other than Santana lacks anything remotely spectacular. If Hughes can be healthy he is a little better than the back end starter talents the rest of those guys are. The thing is if those chumps put up 4.90 era's that's a big improvement from the rotation outside of Santana. The bar is low. May getting another shot...I'm not sure I agree with but I thought he would flourish more as a reliever last year so sure. Why not I guess. He has been sort a of a tease. I like the guy a lot though.

So Tonkin and not Perkins?
And doesn't Houston Jimmenez laugh at Adrianza's OPS? Wouldn't Wilfredo Tovar be a better choice?

Read the article. He doesn't think Perkins will be ready opening day.

Ah. That stinks. But I did think he was predicting another Kim situation.

Top 5 Battles in camp.

I thought SS would be a battle to some degree. It would be nice to have a true LF.

Jason I think the thinking with Adrianza making the roster is he has a real rep as a terrific defender especially at SS and...let's be honest the Twins don't have a guy like that around. I like Wscobar as much as anyone but he is more of a solid infielder not a wizard except I think I remember hearing he plays a really good 3B. Adrianza has that sort of Escobar sneaky power IF...his career numbers hold up. They aren't too bad for a defensive middle infielder. Santana has some talent but to what extent? If he hits and looks moderately competent in the field he could make the roster instead.

Well unless we just have one of the best lineups in the league I think we are looking at the cellar again due to the rotation. I'm just amazed they continue to not address the biggest need on the team for years now. Hopefully the bullpen is good otherwise hello bottom of the standings again. It's a pitching league and we consistently have no pitching.
