Yep, they didn't swing for the fences tonight. They made sure to get on base. I think you're spot on here. Both Walker Kessler and Wendell Moore Jr. look like very solid pros at the next level to me. Two-way role players with good size for position. That's not a bad haul whatsoever at the back end of the first round.

Lip, almost all your guys were taken by 19!

I have a hard time believing the Wolves couldn't have traded up a spot of two at a reasonable price to get Dalen Terry. Using a 1st round pick on Kessler strikes me as a wasted pick. We have an immediate need for a big that can be filled through free agency. I think there were MUCH BETTER prospects available, including Ty Ty. I like the Moore pick, but i haven't seen anything tonight that justifies the unprecedented compensation package the Wolves gave Connelly. I'm not proclaiming him the village idiot. But his first real test here has been s disappointment so far.

Are you serious?

Not exactly what I meant when I first typed it, but they do have 19 guys under contract.

Would you have been ok with Mark Williams at 22?

We're seeing some serious reaches tonight. That Caleb Houstan pick being one of them.

It will be interesting to see what the Wolves do with these three 2nd round pick. They don't realistically have roster room for any of them.

Ant has the potential to carry an absolutely massive usage and KAT is a walking 24 PPG .60 TS%+ machine, so in my opinion their 3rd "star" just may end up being an elite role player. That could be Jaden. Or it could be one of these guys eventually.

If we get Montero at 40, I'll just pretend we took Kessler there

Yes. I think Williams is a lot better than Kessler. But I'm not alone in holding that view
