Everyone in this draft needs to be developed. There is no sure thing who will come in like Zion and Ja and be fine. That doesn't mean nobody in this draft is gonna become a star either though. Just have to find the right piece of coal and help turn it into a diamond.

Ya I agree with this, there will be good prospects. Just there are so many holes with these guys

Curious how you get Rodman out of Toppin. Toppin averaged 6.5 rebounds in his college career and might be the worst defender as a prospect in the last 3 drafts. Also he is a full year older then Okogie

Worst in the last three years? Let's not be so bombastic. I think he plays bigger than his size and only about 5 guys average more than 8 boards a game in the whole ncaa.

Obi had 6.6 rpg and he shot 60% from the field, top 5 in ncaa. Age doesn't matter. He's 22 and by the time the wolves fail him, he'll only be 25.

That's a pretty bad bunch of clips in one game. It's also worth noting Ball was playing in that league as an 18 year old. That league isn't awesome but it's still guys with a ton more experience and physical development than Ball. He turns 19 next month and I'll also mention how little competitive basketball he has played the last few years. This video certainly supports Cam's concerns with Ball being flash and not substance. I fully agree there is busy potential with Ball.

Meanwhile...RJ Hampton was a top recruit A 5 star guy right?...nobody is even talking about him In this draft really because he was just whatever in that league and didn't shoot well.

There was actually 115 players that averaged 8 or more rebounds

Here is some snippets of a Obi Toppin scouting report.

"Brutal pick-and-roll defender who displays little recognition or feel for reading a screen; he's almost always out of position."

"Doesn't change directions well laterally; he has tight hips, which means NBA offenses will attack him relentlessly one-on-one."

"Poor help defender and rebounder who doesn't play with great awareness or effort."

I think he'll have a fine career but you said Rodman like. He is not anything like Rodman and the things that made Rodman great are probably Toppins biggest weaknesses.

I had not heard or read this much about Rodman's college story.

Maybe i have the wrong guy altogether. And maybe i looked at defensive rebounds, not total. This is what quarantine drinking does to me.

If this draft is filled with players that need developing and we have an organization that has shown no signs of developing players than why shouldn't we be wanting to take the player with the most talent on its face. Wiseman is the clear cut answer there IMO.

I mean if you want to go based off what the organization will do then he's the worst possible pick because we don't play 2 bigs at the same time.

I think Wiseman is the single best talent in this draft. He's a tier of one and the only prospect other than, perhaps, Edwards, who looks like he can be a superstar. He potential as a rim protector would fill as huge need for the Wolves.

Nevertheless, there are red flags associated with Wiseman - namely questions surrounding his passion or love for the game. I won't have any problem with the Wolves passing on Wiseman if they pass on him because of those red flags. But if the only reason they pass on him is because of their stubborn refusal to play two bigs, then the organization is just plain dumb.
