I was upset at flip for selling the 26th pick last season. But im ok with him selling the 44th and 53rd this year. The difference was a first round pick could have got us a future first. This year, there wasnt anyone available at 44 or 53 that is worth taking.

Keep in mind there were a lot of euro stash taken in the first round and ahead of us in the 2nd. So im not sure we can get any quality euro stash at 44.

Exactly there were only 4 players that other teams deemed stashable from 44 on. If you're a little peeved at Taylor for pocketing a little cash fine, but don't pretend we're missing out on any more than the 1% chance Louis Labeyrie, Nemanja Dangubic, Alessandro Gentile, or Vasilije Mocic turn out to be anything in the NBA and they certainly weren't bringing 3 rookies (two of them bring 2nd rounders) onto the roster if they went the college route.

I agree with foye and world about selling the late picks. Although Glen Taylor has made some mistakes during his ownership (Joe Smith, Kahn), I've always been pleased by his willingness to spend money. So I don't begrudge him pocketing a million or two when there's nobody interesting left on the board.

Two nice gifs of LaVine's passing ability (during that Oregon game I keep bringing up).

Yeah yeah, you can find clips of every player doing things like this. It's worth remembering, though, that LaVine was a point guard all through high school. He's used to making plays. This would be a very valuable thing to have from a shooting guard, and one of the reasons I loved Stauskas so much.

Kyle Anderson's thoughts on his teammate LaVine:

"He was in the gyms every single night. He'd be down there at his hoop and I'd be down there at my hoop. He'd be in that gym every single day, every single night. ... I think he's going to be unguardable in about 2-3 years. He's very good now, but once the physicality part catches up with him, I think he's going to be unstoppable."

Yep, and how's our Euro stash from the last few years doing???? Exactly.

Also Foye, I'm going to add "stashable" to my lexicon. Thanks.

I love the draft I'd probably pick 10 guys if I was GM. Lol I value picks no matter where they are. I also know the reality of the crapshoot and also the reality of only having so many roster spots. Its pretty obvious the Wolves can buy a 2nd round pick if they ever wanted too. We have acquired a lot of 2nd rounders because of various deals over the past 10 years and even before that we sold them. It seemed like 2nd rounders in the 90's were as exciting probably because you didn't know as much about guys. There is clearly way more talent with so many euro guys and mid-major colleges being more of a factor. My point is while as a fan I hate selling off picks I know the reality is its probably not the worst thing. Last year Flip sold off a 1st round pick which stung but he got cash and saved money and opened a roster spot trading Lee. My point is I will voice my frustration as a fan and move on. This team has some euro guys already that seem like they could be legit prospects and still are over there. I believe someone else said it on this board Glen seems to be more than willing to pay for something if he thinks its really worth it which is a solid business plan. He generally doesn't just spend to spend which is generally a good thing.

To put it better, Flip is a big fan of Wiggins' agent.
