It’s amazing how many high quality free agents agents are still available. The list includes:
1. Jalen Duran (RFA)
2. James Harden
3. LeBron James
4. Rui Hachimura
5. Benedict Mathurin
6. Draymond Green
7. Payton Watson (RFA)
8. Bradley Beal
9. Russell Westbrook
10. Kris Middleton
11. Bruce Brown
12. Jordan Clarkson
13. Jeremy Sochan - My personal favorite. High energy, defensive/rebounding PF with significant remaining upside
14. Kelly Olynyk
15. Gary Payton II
16. Cam Thomas
17. Guerschon Yabusele
18. Zaire Williams
19. Nick Richards
20. Kevin Love — He can still rebound, pass and hit threes.
21. Jett Howard - Still lots of potential. Hit 37% of his threes last season
22. Kevon Looney
23. Cole Anthony
24. Taurean Prince - Hit 43.6% of his threes attempts last season.
25. Matisse Thybulle
26. Jaden Ivey - Still love his potential. Hit 37.3% of his threes attempts attempts last season
27. Larry Nance Jr.
28. Seth Curry
29. Maxi Kleber
30. Mason Plumlee
31. Aaron Holiday
32. Kyle Lowry
33. Amir Coffey
34. Dwight Powell
35. Doug McDermott - hit 39% of his threes last season
Some of these guys, like James Harden, will undoubtedly re-up with their current teams. Others would clearly be beyond the Wolves’ financial capacity to acquire. But the vast majority on this list won’t get offers above the vet minimum. Of course, some of those players would not fit well with Wolves and among those that might fit a number of them would not want to come here. Nevertheless, my take-away for the Wolves is that if we fail to land LeBron, we’ll have a number of talented options to choose from for filling our 14th roster slot. There are a number of players on this list who, unlike Joe Ingles, could step into the Wolves rotation if necessary as positive contributors.
2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
I can't remember who mentioned Matisse Thybulle on this board but I looked up his stats and I was kinda wowed. It looks like he has learned how to shoot 3's and make them at high volume. His steal rates the last couple season make Corey Brewer look like he doesn't even know how to take the ball away from someone. How is it he isn't talked about more? Is there something I don't know?

He would be a great option if we want Jaden off the ball defensively more.Monster wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 12:40 pm I can't remember who mentioned Matisse Thybulle on this board but I looked up his stats and I was kinda wowed. Edit: ok seriously, I was looking at his stats as well. Not PF but at this point I say just lean into the surplus of 3 and D wings.
Randle was big and tough and did nothing to help us in the playoffs against OKC or SAS. However I believe having a lot of physical gritty defenders will

I don’t think Jaden Ivey would fit in our locker roomLipoli390 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 12:09 pm It’s amazing how many high quality free agents agents are still available. The list includes:

I'm not sure what Middleton is looking for this year, but he'd low-key be a great addition

Hachimura signs with the Clippers
2 years $28 mil
2 years $28 mil
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
Rui Hachimura just agreed to sign with the LA Clippers on a two-year $28M deal — averaged $14M per year. Not having the nontaxpayer MLE has put the starting-caliber free agent PFs beyond the Wolves’ reach. I’d like to believe the Wolves knew this was likely when they made the deal to acquire LaMelo and Green. All the more disappointing that we couldn’t get Grant Williams instead of Green as part of the deal. The fact that the Wolves were trying to sign Rui and are aggressively pursuing LeBron tells us the Wolves would prefer to have a starting caliber PF on the roster. The question is how far the Wolves front office is willing to go to satisfy that preference. Do they view it as a necessity for their championship aspirations next season or just a preference to optimize the roster?
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
I won't cry one tear missing out on him for that price. I also wouldn't mind if we had been able to sign him for that price on a short term deal but he plays like an undersized PF. Yes he shoots a high percentage on 3 but the volume isn't all that high. He wasn't the answer at PF imo especially if you are concerned about size and rebounding. Dude can't guard Randle. Lol Quite frankly Grant Williams might be a better player at PF than Rui and he likely isn't the answer there either. I don't think John Collins was the answer at PF but I would have preferred him and he MIGHT have been that guy as the 5th best player on a loaded roster. It's interesting that the Clippers chose Rui over Collins.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2026 10:35 am Rui Hachimura just agreed to sign with the LA Clippers on a two-year $28M deal — averaged $14M per year. Exactly what I said. He solves the Jaden at PF problem.Phenom wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 12:42 pmHe would be a great option if we want Jaden off the ball defensively more.Monster wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 12:40 pm I can't remember who mentioned Matisse Thybulle on this board but I looked up his stats and I was kinda wowed.
