All is forgiven Gersson!!! All is forgiven!!!!

So we're going to pay $17 million then $17.8 the next two years for a 30+ year old backup PG who doesn't shoot well. Please help me understand what's going on. If I'm asleep and trapped in a nightmare, please wake me up!!

Maybe not as bad as passing on Steph, but potentially in that neighborhood. All because they have this quickly becoming outdated view of how the game should be played today. I'm already bummed out.

How about when the Wolves passed up Giannis for Shabazz Muhammad and Rudy Gobert for Gorgui Dieng in the same draft?

It's worse than that. They passed up Giannis for Bazz after trading down when they could have picked McCollum. But it's even worse. They didn't pass up Gobert for Gorgui. They could have had both, but instead sold for cash the pick they could have used to draft Gobert.

That is different. None of them were highly touted. Wiseman always has been.

Maybe Glen and Jon K insisted on Rubio.

[*] Wiggins still can't dribble as well as Edwards already can.
[*] Edwards is quicker with pull-ups and step backs from range.
[*] Although there were times when Edwards was disengaged last year, he showed real flashes of effort, spirit, and joy in which he was totally engaged. He's shown the ability to kick it into another gear. Wiggins, by contrast, is kind of a zombie player in the sense that he coasts on his talent 100% of the time--there's never been much character or personality or extra effort there.
[/list]

Well Wiggins was the rookie of the year. Let's see how Edwards plays before say he is better than that.

I will also add that Wiggins actually DID turn it on every once in a while. Not often enough obviously, but he went off occasionally.

I do think Edwards has more natural guard skills, whereas Wiggins was more of a classic SF from a skill perspective.

Totally agree on the second point. On the first, yeah, I guess so. Wiggins would have games in which he scored a lot, and I do remember him celebrating after a couple of shots, but most of the time when that happened, he looked, if anything, kind of surprised that it was happening. Basketball plays seemed to just happen to Wiggins; he didn't really seem active in making them happen, if that makes sense. His big scoring games seemed to happen partly because he randomly happened to take more shots rather than a result of a conscious effort to go out there and do something.

Lip, one cannot put a price on love, babies, sunsets, or Ricky Rubio throwing no look passes to KAT.

The talent is there. I just don't know how he becomes that guy on a team with several players getting the ball before him combined with his current attitude. He's about to get locked down in practice by Culver and Okogie and I don't think he has the mental to fight through a bunch of guys fighting for playing time to come out on top. He seems to very much be a basketball came easy to me guy and he's about to get truck sticked by actual hard workers who fought to get to this level.

Haliburton in NY? Could be a reason to start liking the Knicks!
