Larry Nance Jr off the board
1 year $4 mil to go to the Pacers
That’s fine with me. I don’t think he has anything left in his tank.
It feels weird that he has sorta fell off he map after being one of the hottest names there for a while. He is 33 and looks like he has had some issues staying healthy. The previous season with Atlanta he had some pretty good stats. I'm also fine with him being off the board.

Yeah, Larry Nance Jr didn’t even make Q’s list of PF options!

This Clippers Raptors thing is crazy. The Clips are now saying that they are not only trading Kahwi but also the risk of a penalty if they're found to have bypassed the salary cap. Obviously, the Raptors don't want to take on that risk, so the trade is on hold. The Clippers logic is kind of nuts to me. It's like they're saying they're innocent, and if there was wrongdoing, it was Kawhi, so if his team is punished, that punishment should follow him to his new team.
Bonkers. Will be really interesting to see how that plays out.

It's not LAC that is saying TOR has to take on the risk, it has to be the league (which to me is even crazier), because who else would inform LAC that TOR was on the hook once they complete the trade? I get that IF it did happen Kawhi could be suspended which would screw TOR that way, but team based penalties falling on TOR would be the dumbest shit ever lol.
Quote from LAC statement:
"On June 30, we reached an agreement in principle to trade Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors. We have since been informed that the trade can only be finalized if the Raptors' ownership group assumes the risk of penalties related to Kawhi’s contract that could theoretically result from the ongoing investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and we expect the trade to be finalized following its conclusion."

Absolutely ridiculous!! If Kawhi had side deals with the Clippers to circumvent the salary cap, which is precisely what has been alleged, then the Clippers should be held accountable for their party in the scheme regardless of who Kawhi ends up playing for next season. If the League is really taking the position that the Clipper’s culpability transfers to Toronto with Kawhi then the Wolves should have traded Joe Smith. I must be missing something. But if this is true, the Raptors should pull out of the deal immediately. The Clippers and Kawhi should both be punished if the allegations are true. And the penalties imposed on the Clippers should be at least as severe as the penalties imposed on the Timberwolves for the Joe Smith deal.

Yeah I don't get it at all either. Obviously there's a risk he would get suspended if they find cap circumvention, but LAC will be the ones giving up draft picks and fines. Such a weird situation both in narrative and timing.

The league should certainly take away the Clippers first round pick this year...which is suppose to go to OKC. Would be nice if OKC doesn't get yet another high draft pick next year.

I doubt the League would take away a pick that’s already been committed to another team via trade. The point is to penalize the Clippers.
Just a reminder of what the League imposed on the Wolves for illegal Joe Smith deal. In addition to assessing a record fine on the Wolves and suspending both Glen Taylor and Kevin McHale for a year, the League voided Joe Smith’s contract, which took away the Wolves’ Bird rights and took away 3 of the Wolves 5 first round picks between 2001 and 2005. What the Clippers allegedly did is just as bad as what the Wolves did so the penalties imposed on the Clippers should be at least as severe.
Perhaps what the League was referring to in their message about Toronto assuming the risk of Kawhi’s contract was the potential voiding of his current contract. If that were to happen, Toronto would have to negotiate a new contract but would not have Kawhi’s Bird rights. That seems like a big risk Toronto would be taking on. My guess is that any penalties, whether financial or related to draft picks, would still be imposed on the Clippers.
