I am afraid this will be a dark cloud that will be over the team all year. It is tough to know how people will react to it. It is hugely tragic for his family. It will be interesting how it impacts the team. For coaches it could be there is more to life than football or it could be a driver. I think this will have a huge impact on Zimmer this year.

I wonder how much the stress of coaching the weakest link on a championship caliber team weighed on him? He was obviously not healthy and the added stress couldn't be good for him.

Not sure. Obviously, stress doesn't help. What is alarming is that he went in before this happened. I am surprised he wouldn't have access to some better doctors via the Vikings.

If you are coaching anywhere in the NFL it's very stressful and you work a ton of hours. Bad team you are stressed because you are coaching to win games and your job. Mediocre team? Still coaching for your job. Contender? Different stress but it's still there. That's one reason people in these professions do get paid more money.

We don't have a lot of details. Sometimes these things happen. Maybe the physicians that saw him and missed something. I've sadly seen this happen.

5 year 72-81 million extension with 40 million guaranteed for Diggs. Does that make Barr the only one left waiting for an extension?

Barr is last on the list.

It looks like Diggs is getting about $10M less in GTD money than Cooks for Rams.

I don't remember which place I read it but it was mentioned the Browns actually knew about this before they signed him which I thought was interesting although maybe not that surprising. I don't think signing him is an option at this point for any team. I'd imagine even if he was signed he would be facing some sort of suspension assuming he isn't facing jail time as well.

Something must have turned for the worst in the case or maybe he just didn't look good. I would expect if he is cooperating he won't do jail time and the issue was not a voilent type crime so I doubt the NFL steps in.
