Two things are assured

Phee is a goner

and if Dorka isn't a free agent, she will be as unprotected as a brand new iPhone for the expansion draft

The only teams the can realistically make a Phee max work are the Lynx and the Valkyrie, teams like Portland and Con can but she is not going there.


Outside of Phee, the Lynx have their other top 6 under contract next year and Kosu

They will also have negotiating rights with Chekova who was a stud rookie big before tearing her ACL.

Dorka, Caldwell, Deleare, Bibby, McDonald are all free agents.

Lynx will have I believe will have the 15th pick.


Every player outside of Liv is not under contract in the 2028 year and that is when players like Clark, Reese, Jackson, Brink become free agents for the first time

Weeks ago I thought Miles was going to be the guard that would be a difference maker in a championship run. For whatever reason she wasn't ready whether that was the rookie wall an injury or whatever she didn't play well. That's it they weren't gonna win anything without her playing well especially with the bench they had although Nia really played well in these 2 games.

Getting bounced in the 1st round definitely isn't want anyone was planning for although I think all of us saw it coming. It definitely seems like Phee will be exploring options. Maybe she comes back but it does seem less likely now. I also agree Dorka was a pretty massive disappointment this season. Ultimately the Lynx are in good shape though but they need to add something to the roster although just getting that young center back if she can play well coming off the injury that would be nice she really looked like a good player.
