Kenny Brit is making around 8 million per. Garcon 9 million per. Those guys are who they are and I like both guys but there isn't upside there. Thielen is cheaper and has more upside than those guys. Maybe he ends up not being all that great but I'll take the chance that he was building off something over guys that are just averagish.

You are right, but I was just surprised that Terrelle Pryor to what I think was a 1 year 6M deal.

We signed Murray.

Seems like a complete back. Good pass blocker and okay runner and pass catcher.

Yeah I agree I though that was a great deal and that was before I saw some of the other contracts.

Yeah remember how so was talking about getting a Chestor Taylor type? He could be that. He said he doesn't dance around one cut and goes. This article mentioned some interesting stats that make him look fairly valuable. It will be interesting to see what kind of contract they gave him. He is a solid compliment to McKinnon.

Falcons got Poe for a reasonable deal. I would have liked him here. Another big DT rest Joseph or play next to him.

To be at this point the Vikings have figured out the 2 biggest questions of the offseason.

1. Oline-Maybe it's not fixed but it's certainly improved and workable from here.

2. RB-Moved on from AP and added Murray who is decent at stuff. They need a vet RB and got one.

Do they still have needs? Yep but it feels like they have filled the absolutely pressing needs and now can look for value guys bargain guys and anyone that they think fits for the money they have left. It feels like they can not just panic in the draft and take player X because they play position Y an that's a massive need. I'm sure they will draft a RB and a couple olineman but they can go more BPA than if they hadn't shored up some things and may have even more figured out before the draft in a few weeks.

Are there any FAs out there you would like them to take a look at?

I would want a backup QB. I don't want another situation like last year. Josh McCown would be a good get.

Shaun Hill did his job last year being somewhat average helping the team win one game. Honestly I don't see McCown as a significant upgrade over Hill and he probably gets a pretty decent paycheck as a backup (or as a bridge starter) and he is old too. At this point I would prefer just to go with some young/younger guys. Bradford doesn't need an old mentor like Teddy did.

Once upon a time some of these top backups were young guys that hadn't done anything. I wouldn't be against a vet backup but I don't feel like it's the same priority as in the past plus there are always plenty of guys available that...have experience and aren't great but...that's why guys are backups. Obviously having a guy working with the team in camp etc is worth considering but...the Bikings QB position isn't exactly set having another possible young QB option on the roster does make some sense. We don't know how Shurmer etc feels about Heinicke so that makes it harder to know what they are looking to do at that position.
