Patented leaning jumper in the lane for Rubio that clanks off the back of the iron. I love that shot.

Minnesota has Rubio, Nowell, Layman, Okogie, and Vanderbilt on the floor while Doncic is in the game for Dallas.

He's going to be pushing Beasley at some point. Better defender and has a bit better shake off the bounce. He doesn't quite have as quick of a release, but I think he is an overall better player. I don't know if it's this year or next, but it's going to happen.

Minnesota's getting picked on in the paint because they're playing Okogie and Vanderbilt against Doncic, Powell, and Kleber. All it takes is a little penetration to draw Vanderbilt away from the hoop and it turns into lob city for Dallas.

I could see that happening down the road. He has more ability, feel, and wiggle as a three-level scorer, and like you've noted, he's a better defender. I think what could happen is that Nowell continues to rise and makes Beasley dispensable -- ie. included in a trade for a bigger fish.

Dane Moore: D'Angelo Russell has been out a longggg time.

Wolves were down 16 to 14 when DLo subbed out 5.5 minutes into the game and it's now midway through the 2nd quarter and he still hasn't returned.

No fouls for DLo and 2-for-2 from the field (both 3s).

Curious to ask why postgame.

The game is currently 62 to 39, Dallas leading, and Rubio just checked back in. Weird.

Rubio just made his first three after 20 consecutive misses. Unreal.
