Being a Wolves is not fun, but it is funny!
Is it time for the Sam Mitchell dance again?
It's never not a good time for the Sam Mitchell dance!

Did anyone watch any of the Area 21 with Sam Mitchell and Katie Smith and Gary Trent (plus someone else maybe T-hud?)? KG asked Sam what advice he would give Katie Smith who is going into her first year as a WNBA head coach. Sam said don't read the papers, Twitter etc and don't listen to the media they will try and get in your head etc. It's not bad advice but I also kinda cracked me up.
The Thunder and Clippers won last night as expected. I'm hoping the Wolves can go against the grain and pull off an unexpected win today against the Warriors. Curry's injury opens the door for the Wolves to pull off the upset win.
Losing today and our next 2 games on the road against the Spurs and Wizards would likely put us in 9th or 10 place. But a win today could generate some momentum that helps the Wolves win one or even both of these upcoming two road games. That would put us right back in the running to finish as high as 4th.

We might be 9th or 10th after this tough spot in the schedule but the schedule lightens up after that and we could go on a run to get back to a better spot. I saw a tweet of Denver's remaining schedule. I think it's like straight up all playoff teams or something.
I think it's time to concede that 3rd seed to the Blazers (they seem to make a run late every year) and hope they stay hot and beat the other teams the rest of the season that the Wolves are fighting to get the other playoff spots.
BBreference playoff projections and if you like to look at that kind of thing they have who has the toughest remaining schedule "RSOS". Utah is the only team that has an easier schedule than the Wolves.
13 games left, 7 of them at home but one of those home games is against the best team in the NBA, the Houston Rockets.
I see 6 remaining games the Wolves SHOULD win, although there are no sure wins in the NBA. Those six are Clippers, @Knicks, Memphis, Jazz, Memphis, and Nuggets. The Clippers and Jazz, especially the Jazz, will be tough even at home. Both teams are playing well. But the Wolves have proven to have a distinct home court advantage at Target Center. KAT has taken his game to the next level and become clutch. Teague really seems to have settled in, Belly is playing with a lot of confidence and getting a great rhythm while Wiggins is playing consistently well on the defensive end. So all six games should end up in the win column for the Wolves. If so, then the Wolves will end up with 46 wins, which should ensure a finish no worse than 6th and a possible 4th place finish.
Here's a list of some additional games from which the Wolves could emerge with another win or two: @Sixers, @Mavs, @Lakers, @Spurs and Rockets. It would be huge if the Wolves could steal one of these next two games against the Spurs and Rockets. I think it will take at least 47 wins to finish 4th. I see the Blazers finishing with 49 wins in 3rd.
