At this point even with the likely outcome of another rough year for Bennett I think I would prefer to see him for a year to see what has to offer (if anything) for myself rather than see him shipped out for a veteran like Young unless Young is seen a long term solution.
I think I would rather go all in with youth and inexperience than try the concept of veterans to help teach them how to play and win in the NBA when the veterans haven't been part of a winning culture themselves (as in Young for example).

Wolfson is saying on Twitter it sounds like the Sixers want 2 assets for young a 1st rounder and a young player or 2 first round picks. Good for them for asking a high price but I'll pass that price may be too high for me (because of Young's contract status) and I have grown to kinda want Thad.

They're supposed to ask high, and then come back down to Earth. They won't get a first and a young player or two firsts from anyone. Damn sure won't be us.

Young has been on a playoff team for 5 of his 7 years in the league. He played in about as many playoff games as our starters last season Combined.

I think you bring Bennett to camp and see what you have before you trade him. Then if you don't you could trade him before the season starts.

That's true, world, but it should also be pointed out that Young's team has only had a winning record once during his 7-year career...35-31 in the strike-shortened year. So I don't think you can say he comes from a winning culture. Better than the Wolves though!

Now reports are saying Bennett for Young is going to happen, but that the league may prevent it... ??

CBS Philly reports Bennett goes to sixers for Young. Guessing we dump a contract like JJ or Brewer as well.

That seems bizarre, cam. Why would it be blocked? Do you have a source?
Also odd that Barreiro came out so strongly yesterday saying AB would not be traded. He has a huge ego and prides himself on being inner circle with Flip. His rep is going to really take a hit!
