It kind of helps you on the eyes if you make some tweaks to the depth chart like so:
PG: Rubio / Williams
SG: Martin / Brewer / LaVine
SF: Wiggins / Budinger / Muhammad / Robinson
PF: Young / Hummel
C: Pekovic / Dieng / Turiaf
Dieng and Turiaf could give minutes at power forward if we needed that, but I still would like to see Flip acquire a cheap backup PF. One that is better than Hummel, which shouldn't be hard to find.
I put Brewer as the backup SG because he's actually better there than he is SF. His shooting % is better while his opponent's shooting % is worse while he's playing the 2. I don't quite know why, but it is what it is.
Hummel's a stretch PF to me, even while being undersized. Can't guard SFs.
We're about one wing too many, and the odd man out in terms of rotation minutes is either Budinger or Muhammad. I also think Robinson needs to stay in Minnesota. I really like his role player potential.

Re: The Small Forward Shuffle
Hummel was signed so they would have someone to be a stretch 4 so that's part of any rotation minutes he plays. Luc is also capable of playing at the 4. I wouldn't be shocked to see Bazz play some minutes at the 4 at some point during the seasone. IMO GR3 is the least likely guy on the roster to get minutes he is a developmental guy. Bud who knows if that guy is gonna be healthy and also keep in mind who is gonna play minutes when Martin goes down for his 20 games of injury. Brewer at SG for rotation minutes is a good idea but that spot might be pretty crowded too. Its hard to know about some of these guys because we don't know how Flip feels about them or values them.

If you had Mayo on your team, would you trade him for Bud and Luc, bleed?
I can tell you that I wouldn't, and I don't even like Mayo that much.
Plus why the hell would we want Martin AND Mayo at SG when we're hoping Lavine gets minutes at SG and in an ideal world Wiggins' handle ends up being good enough to play SG as well.

I didn't go back and check, but he might have posted that well before the draft. This thread just recently got bumped up.
