Then screw him and will keep him and he won't be able to go play with LBJ and make less money.

So what is to stop Cleveland from saying "let's wait a YEAR, KEEP WIGGINS, THEN ADD LOVE outright as a free agent?

I would bet the rumor is false. Love's agent can't be that dumb. Limit Flip's options and you limit Flip's leverage. Limit Flip's leverage and you greatly reduce Love's chances of being dealt, which is precisely what Love does NOT want.
It should be crystal clear that Flip simply will not trade Love for anything less than what Flip wants. Love's agent should know that by now.

Something called the salary cap, unless Love is willing to play for well under the max.
Re: We won't get Wiggins in the end
They can add Lebron now and Love year later, as Wiggins is on a rookie deal. What am I not seeing? Love is making 15 million this year anyway, so what does a trade save them?

You're not seeing that they just don't have the max cap space available. They'd have to release/cut/renounce (the renounced guys could not be signed over the cap) everyone but Lebron/Kyrie/Wiggins (40+ million for those 3 + minimum salary for remaining 8 roster spots) and even that doesn't open max cap space unless there is another significant jump in the salary cap. They could get it if the cap jumps up by a couple million more, but then you are talking about only having 4 guys under contract with no cap space to get the rest of the team. All for the sake of keeping Wiggins. A trade now saves them from having to gut the whole team just to create the room to add Love. Is Wiggins really worth having players 7-15 being minimum salary guys? What if one of the big 3 goes down with an injury? They could probably get Love on that team with Wiggins, but it would be extremely difficult and would need even more luck for them as the salary cap number only comes out a few days before FA starts. Imagine them cutting practically the whole team and the cap only goes up 2 million which isn't enough to get Love at the max. He may take a pay cut in that scenario, but a lot of things would have to go right and a lot of decisions would have to be made well before you could get any kind of commitment from Love as a FA and well before you're even going to get the official numbers to see if you can sign him to a max. They'd have to cut everyone before FA so it'd be a huge risk/reward move.

Actually, I think the Cavs will have enough room to sign Love to a max 4-year deal next summer. So why would Love still greatly prefer a trade to Cleveland this summer? Four reasons.
First, he would obviously want the chance to win sooner rather than later.
Second, he would clearly rather not endure constant questions about whether he will stay and possible hostile crowds.
Third, he doesn't want to risk an injury that would cause the teams he wants to play for to shy away from him.
Finally, getting traded this summer would give Love the possibility of a 5 year deal worth over $20 million with the team he wants to play for -- e.g., Cleveland.
I just don't see his agent making threats that could jeopardize his client's ability to get traded to teams like Cleveland, Chicago and GS where he has a much better shot at contending and where he has previously said he'd like to end up.
