I said before SL last year that Shabazz was made for it. Looks like I was one year too early. Lot of shots but 27 points is what I thought he would bring in this competition.

He shot a lot, but I think it should be taken with a grain of salt because he missed got his own rebound then either missed again or scored, it took him two shots to make the hoop.
Also with the comments on Dieng I thought he played well, saying he got beat on D, I would say it was more of the perimeter D that made Dieng rotate, causing him to leave his man and then when his man got the ball he was out of position because of his help side D.

Your comment about Shabazz in the offensive glass is well taken. His relentless pursuit of offensive rebounds combined with his freakish vertical explosiveness gives him a good chance of getting his own missed shot, or shots, so there will be times when he'll be credited with several shot attempts before the make.
I have commented before that the training facility in Santa Barbara has never recorded a more explosive vertical leap then Shabazz in the spring of 2013, and they have trained a lot of elite athletes. The nba.com broadcast team was marveling at how quickly he got up on his second jump without having to reset, and said they had only seen that in Shaun Marion in his prime. Personally, I think Shabazz gets up in the air much more quickly than Marion did. It's an incredible gift for a basketball player.
Shabazz is unique in that he is not really a great athlete. La Vine is a great athlete...he seems to do everything effortlessly on the court. That's not Shabazz...everything seems to require maximum effort for him, and sometimes he seems downright clumsy. He can be a frustrating player to watch sometimes. But his vertical explosiveness is an exception to his otherwise average athleticism, and is the main reason he is such a volume scorer.

Just watched the replay of the game. It was sort of a meh game. Shabazz scored a ton of points, but he also took a ton of shots. I do like his mentality and hustle, but the key for him is to become more efficient. I like the fact he knocked down a couple of 3's.
Everyone else was sort of a mixed bag. No one dominated, but no one was downright terrible.

Re: Summer League-Game 1
This was the first game and once again the Wolves are playing a team thats already played one game so that team always looks much better so that should be considered. Having said that here are my thoughts.
I thought Shved was mostly terrible He had some moments when he wasn't awful and he was better than an perimeter players off the bench. He had a couple drives, but he had some awful passes looked like the guy that we saw last year that has no place on an NBA floor. If he plays this bad that rest of SL they might as well just cut him.
LaVine was sadly the best PG and thats because he did something decent and everyone else was bad. He was much better there than I expected and while I wouldn't say he is a PG I do think he could do that for stretches in the future no doubt. He looked like a guy with some actual talent. There were some negatives, but he showed some flashes it was a positive outing for me.
Dieng did his thing maybe woudl have been better if he wasn't sick IDK, but he does look bigger, but its his lower body that might not be strong enough. Like others have said true centers are a poor fit for a naturally perimeter and usually guard oriented SL.
GR3 very forgettable I am a big fan and I was pretty disappointed. He was maybe better than the bench, but thats becasue he wasn't an idiot. his ball handling was better than I expected.
Fesenko was probably the only bench guy that didn't suck. He played decent I didn't cringe when he was out there.
Shabazz Yep he is flawed, but damn the guy played his freaking ass off getting board like a man possessed with that elite quick jump. He wa playing PF alot pushing people around acting liek he belonged. He brought some nasty to the game. Will he be able to do some of what he did in this game against NBA level guys? IDK but if he keeps this up he deserves to get a shot and trying. I was impressed with him. His handle was better.
Bench Vomit
After that first quarter or so I though the team didn't play well the defense was bad the offense was awful at times. Th roster just seems bad. Like I said its the first game playing against a team thats got their feet wet so that makes a big difference.

If he does what he showed tonight I think he makes more sense as an energy bench scorer. How many times last year could the Wolves have used someone like that off the bench to keep them from losing leads etc?
Also I remember a bunch of posters saying we wanted Bazz to work out with Jeffers and emulate how hard he plays etc. Looks to me like Bazz has done exactly that. He isn't as athletic in some ways but is much bigger and has skills around the basket and a better shot. Bazz was just all effort out there. It was fun to watch.

That should be Kevin Martin's role assuming he doesn't get traded.
Brewer belongs on the bench.

So who is starting at SG and SF in your scenario?
