Seems to be the gong rate these days, multiple coaches have signed recently for 10+ million per year. Budenhozer got 5 year 50 million to coach the Suns for a year or two before they will eventually fire him and still pay him, Lue got 14 million per year to coach the Clippers. Hurley is about to get a massive offer to be the coach of the Lakers. NBA is about to sign a massive new tv deal that is going to bring in a lot of revenue, with the salary caps only going up 10% per year starting in 25-26 so the owners are going to be making bank the first few years of the new tv deal as the salary cap slowly catches up.Sundog wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 9:14 am Would you have let him walk then, Lip, rather than offered him this deal? I’m not sure that’s a reasonable option. This team is already surrounded by ownership uncertainty, I don’t think we’d want to add GM uncertainty to the mix. It’s not my money, pay the man and let this play out.
