I think Lonzo Ball, if healthy, would be a near perfect point guard here. I am surprised Chicago only gave up a second round pick and loose change to get him. I wonder what it would take to pry him from Chicago as they have Lavine, DeRozan, Coby White and drafted Dalen Terry.

I've mentioned Lonzo several times before as the perfect fit for the Wolves. So has Q. Not sure what it would take to get him, but it's worth exploring. It's my understanding that he's still having knee issues. To me, that presents an opportunity. The Bulls really want to make the playoffs next season. I think they'll be motivated to consider trading Lonzo.

I honestly was surprised last offseason Ball didn't get more in terms of contract than he did. If Healthy he is a really good player. He is basically a really good big 3 and D PG who actually can run a team in transition and actually make plays for other in the half court if you want to. Basically his is an even bigger version of a later career mike Connelly type guy. If he is healthy I don't think Chicago will have much interest in moving him. If Terry can make an immediate impact or maybe when he does then that will change. Lip will be kicking his Wolves phone if that happens but if Lonzo is healthy he will have a ton of trade interest around the league. He might not garner Jrue or J Murray return but...he will bring back more than the Spurs for for Derrick white...if he is healthy and teams think he is healthy. It's worth remembering once upon a toke Jrue was a guy hat had problems staying on the floor.

I don't think Wolves fans really want to win all that bad. How can you not want to add Rudy Gobert to this team? Do you realize how tough we would be to play against? Do you realize we would be a real contender in the West? If can add Rudy while getting rid of DLO, it's Christmas in July. Like I said, do you guys want to win or not?

You saw right through me, Cool. I confess. I don't want to win.

Yeah, that's a weird conclusion to arrive at. Trading for Rudy Gobert is not a no-brainer move for any team in the NBA given his age, current contract, and expected outgoing assets. To act otherwise is entirely misguided.

The Jazz decline this offer almost immediately. Also, keep in mind that there are other teams in the mix for Rudy Gobert.

With Murray off the market, i would prefer to keep dlo. Dlo is a starting caliber pg who help us win 46 games and there is still upside with this team as it is.
