Jon Krawczynski
The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Trey Lyles, sources told The Athletic
Jon Krawczynski
Trey Lyles played in Denver when Tim Connelly was GM there. Can stretch the floor. This does NOT, I am told, mean that the Wolves are out on LeBron James. This is a depth piece at a position of need
There's one and grats to those who mentioned Lyles.

Lyles I think is gonna be a Kyle Anderson impact player but he fits much better.

If Rui wants to come here for the vet minimum and hit the market again next year, i'd say that's totally fine. The Wolves would only have his early bird rights to keep him. I was wondering if his name would eventually come up.
Early Bird rights don’t kick in until 2 years with a team. Which is a reason for returning to LA on a vet minimum this year to maintain his Bird Rights and hope to get paid next year…
For some reason I thought a 120% raise was early bird.
Edit: this would be the non bird exception

Reports are that the Wolves are holding a spot open for Lebron in the hopes he'll choose them so I don't see another signing soon unless there's a trade.

I didn't watch Kellerman and Rich Paul's whiteboard sessions but the comments I have read made it sound like Paul is glazing the Wolves. Could this happen?

He absolutely was, Paul pointed out how connected to the youth Melo and Ant are, it would be a perfect bridge for him to leave his mark on the next generation of fans. Max did a outstanding job explaining why the Wolves would be the best fit as well, he deserves free drinks for life in Minnesota if this actually happens.

Its pretty funny on espn front page it mentions the other 4 teams on that piece of paper but no mention of the wolves.
I will say if Bron does care about being the Goat. I cant think of better narrative than saving a state from 35 mens title drought.
