Rosas has got to stop the bleeding and give us something to look to this year. We are directionless and it's sad. I would be shocked if he doesn't start moving people and I want it to happen now. Roco already had problems last year, for him to be late for anything is not a good sign. Gorgui had a temper tantrum on the bench. Ryan is losing the locker room and seems lost. Our defensive guru has us as the worst D in the league the last month. Start shaking things up, the big hoopla about the process hiring this guy and the "extensive" search means nothing if he wouldn't even use the full MLE and just sit on his hands while another year implodes.

So, hypothetically speaking, the Wolves could do the trade with the Pacers for Turner and Warren and still manage a deal for a ball-handler using Teague's expiring plus other assets. At that point there would be no
bad money against the cap besides perhaps Wiggins and he's at least been useful/decent this year.
For argument's sake, Teague and Culver for Russell works. A top-20 protected first-round pick could be put on the table too. At that point you're locking yourself into a young core of Towns (24), Wiggins (24), Russell (23), Turner (23), and Warren (26). Money would be almost fully allocated for the future, but one could argue that's how it is already but with a lot less talent on the roster.
I love your trades Cam, they are always so favorable to us. If you could pull off that roster with the poo poo platter we have now you're GM of the year for sure.

Is it just me, or does it look like Covington is just going through the motions? I don't think we can get rid of him fast enough.

Agreed. Could be recovering from his knee, still dealing with mental health problems, roster construction masking his strengths or just playing bad.
But feel like we should trade him soon just incase this is a regression.

Yeah I think after hearing that he was struggling with depression after the trade and injury was an eye opener. Even if he is happy to how the organization supported him these issues if he has clinical depression it's not going away, it's only going to be mitigated with treatment and/or medication. Environment plays a role in this. I think it's clear he's not happy. But on the court he's had an off year for us. It's too bad so far.

I don't see a problem with Covington in particular in the way he is on the court. I'll pay closer attention though since others have shared their observations. Offensively he the same guy he has been for years although I think he might actually be better/less cringeworthy when he drives. Defensively as much as I have supported the idea of playing him at PF (I can go either way) it doesn't seem like it's getting the best out of him as a defender or as others suggested he isn't really healthy in one way or another. If this team doesn't come around (still is in te playoff hunt) I think they should be even more keen on listening to offers and...I'm sure teams are going to be calling. It's pretty hard to find a guy like Covington that makes that kind of money that can slide into pretty much any team. Some teams are going to want him because he might have a prayer of defending some of the bigger premier players that play with the ball in their hands. They don't need to be in a rush to deal him IMHO.
Also this team is losing of course players etc aren't going to be happy. If they weren't people would be ripping them for being too happy or whatever. Remember when the Suns were a good story? Good times And now they are not much better than the Wolves and Saric who is my guy is putting up pretty meh numbers.

This team needs another trip to the Bahamas immediately.

How about relocation to the Bahamas, if they're fool enough to accept them.

Simmons is taking alot of heat in philly. I would not be surprised if rosas didnt at least make a courtesy call.

Why hasn't Rosas traded for Ricky yet? His career 3pt% is right on par with the rest of our team.
How do we continue to hire guys that just don't get it? We have been looking for 3&D guys for ten years without any luck. I guess it seems like the next logical step to implement a system that requires those type of players. Could someone tell these morons that the NBA modern offenses don't require that bad shooters take 3pt'ers, just that they don't take mid to long 2's. Take shots you can make or you lose!
I am glad I took a step back, because I was getting tired of hearing how Saunders was proud to be a part of the locker room.
