Keep in mind he's only 19, plenty of time to bulk up. Stanley on the other hand is already bigger than pippen. Scary with how young he is.

I don't see Pippen. Wiggins seems to have better scoring and shooting instincts, whereas Pippen was more able to apply his atheleticism to doing off-the-ball stuff, like getting steals, blocks, and rebounds. I still think something along the lines of this year's version of Jimmy Butler or last year's version of Paul George are reasonable ceilings. However, if he keeps up what he did in the month of January, I may need to revise that prediction up! We'll see.....

Q, do you know what a ceiling is? It's the biggest blue sky outcome. You think his CEILING may be Jimmy Butler?

Have to agree with Cool's point. Wiggins ceiling is higher than Jimmy Butler. I'm hard pressed to come up with a past or current NBA player who would accurately approximate Andrew's ceiling. His length, athleticism, fluidity, scoring instincts and incredibly long strides combined remind me a bit of Dr J.

Never thought of that one Lip, but it's not bad. The big difference is Andrew is going to be a much better defensive player. But there is a similarity on offense.

Perhaps we view ceiling a bit differently. I look at it as something still within the realm of decent odds and not necessarily what might be mathematically possible. Mathematically, Wiggins' ceiling is the greatest player to ever play the game. But in terms of what I consider a realistic ceiling, I think of Paul George or Jimmy Butler. Butler is a damn good player. His name has been brought up as an MVP candidate - I'm not sure how that's a slight against Wiggins' potential.

Once you get past Butler and George, then you get into some pretty heady territory at the next tier up when it comes to wings. Durant, LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Jordan.....I'm not seeing it. I'd love to be wrong though!

Holy moly, let's pump the brakes. I'm loving what I'm seeing these past two months, but top-10 player of all-time as a ceiling? There's been so many great players in history that your statement just seems... unfair.

It's a ceiling not a prediction. Again, with his tools I can't see capping him below that. Of course it's a longshot but he's one of those guys with a chance to be transcendent. You can't say that about too many players coming into the league over the last 5 years.

Wiggins is not yet there but Pippen was not either when he arrived to league. He was 6-7.5 and 212 lbs and he was two years older than Wiggins is. Wiggins is currently 6-8 and 200 lbs and he has two years time to get 12 lbs more.

When Pippen played his best years, he was probably something between 225-230 lbs. I think that it is reasonable to expect Wiggins to bulk around those same figures when he will be around 28.
