No wonder the offense was able to withstand losing four starters. Chris Finch doesn't incorporate much pick-and-roll in his system, but D'Angelo Russell has always excelled in that style of play. His 14 assists last night were no accident. Free D-Lo and open up the offense. Simplify the game.

That said, I don't think we know whom to blame here. Did Chris Finch tell DLo to run more pnr last night, and does he tell him not to when he's out there with KAT? I'm guessing not. There are a few plays where our PG's look to the bench for direction, but generally they seem to be doing what feels comfortable to them. Not sure what more the coaching staff can do other than bench KAT and DLo if they don't execute pnr's...and nobody wants that. The pick and roll is a staple of NBA offenses and if Finch isn't practicing it he should be fired today. But I suspect he is, and the players just aren't responding.

Anyway, I didn't watch the game, but it's good to hear they worked some rudimentary pnr's last night.

There was a lot of off-ball screening and more player movement in the first half from the Wolves last nite. DLO had some awful turnovers, then seemed to right the ship for a bit. His shooting was horrible until that stretch on the 3rd. I really wanted someone to punch Ingles in his smug face.
