While the draft hasn't always been kind to the Wolves it is still the best way to find sustained success in this league. Giving picks away is not a good idea in my opinion.

I'm not sure who exactly you're referencing with that first comment, nor do I see how it relates to Minnesota's current situation, but the bigs that I've consistently named as targets for the Wolves won't, or shouldn't, cost much in terms of draft capital. I think I'd most like to see Minnesota acquire Alex Len and he won't be moved for anything more than a pair of second-round picks.

The available bigs with first-round price tags are Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, Jakob Poeltl, etc. I'm less and less interested in making a move for that caliber of big for several reasons, which means that we probably agree at the end of the day. Minnesota shouldn't trade a first-round pick for a big... but for a quality guard or wing? That's up for debate, I think.

A guy not a Cam list and I wonder if he would be available is Wendell Carter JR.

Mo Bamaba is having his best year of his pro Career and they have cheaper Bigs they can play in Wagner and Lopez. I wonder if they would be willing to take Prince and some extra for his expiring deal.

Also Hypothetical would you trade Naz straight up for Carter I know the money doesnt match up.

Also I wonder if the news of Zion injury today the Pelicans look to blow it up. Ingrham would look real nice in Wolves Jersey

Good call. Wendell Carter Jr. isn't a guy on my trade target wishlist, but he's definitely a player I've been interested in for several seasons now. He's a fine young player who plays his role well and is signed to a team-friendly extension the next handful of years.

Personally, I don't think I'd make a move for him because I think his price has gone up over the last month. He's been playing some great basketball on both ends of the court with a real focus on rebounding the ball. I'm not exactly sure what it would take to get him before the deadline, but Orlando could realistically ask for a protected first-round pick for him and I'd be unwilling to do that. Not to mention, matching salaries is a bit more difficult because of the "poison pill provision" that would be implemented.

Also, I would not trade Naz Reid for Carter Jr. even though I like them both. I believe in Reid's offensive game quite a bit and I think he's very gifted. Something to keep in mind as well is that Carter Jr. is set to make $14-million next year whereas Reid is going to make just under two-million. That has to be a factor in the thought process.

New York Knicks: There is no interest league-wide in taking on Kemba Walker according to multiple sources.

Orlando Magic: Wendell Carter Jr. is not expected to be involved in trade talks for the rebuilding Magic despite the emergence of Mo Bamba.

Sacramento Kings: Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield are expected to be on the market. Barnes, in particular, will get a large amount of offers.
