It may seem "bleh", but I think he is an important player for the Wolves to retain. He fits the style of play the Wolves are determined to play and has the experience showing he can get the job done (ie 3-point shooting).
But I agree with everyone on the need to add a defensive presence / rim protector to the mix. I hope it happens. I am not worried about the roster spots. That will resolve itself by the time the season starts, with Evans and Spellman most likely gone. Which would also open a spot to bring back McLaughlin.
No, I'm almost positive that Hernangomez will be re-signed if for no reason better than it's one of Rosas' guys that he acquired. Ego plays a part of it. I'd like to see if Rosas is savvy enough to get him for a fair price around his qualifying offer or if he's just going to blow his load and give him the full MLE. My bet would be on the latter. I also think Hernangomez would be best suited off the bench.
I'd strongly prefer Tristan Thompson or Nerlens Noel over Juancho, I can't stand having the "other big" have every deficiency Towns has and then some. Even if he fits the modern NBA with his 3 point shooting
