Maybe we're going to resign Robbie Hummel?

I have to admit I'm surprised and disappointed by this move. I also have to admit I haven't attended one practice this month, so I've haven't had the chance to see what Rosas and Ryan saw. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't see enough in practice to use up that roster spot. I mean, let's all take a deep breath and acknowledge that the Raptors also didn't think he offered enough to keep him after watching him for a year- do we know if there was outrage from their fans when they let him walk? But based on my admittedly limited knowledge of how RJH looked in practices this year, I'm still disappointed.

I'm hearing rumblings that we could potentially be the third team in the Harden to Philly deal. Is there a 4 on either team that could help us?

Fair point about Toronto letting him walk. But he still played almost 19 minutes a game as part of their rotation last year when they won 53 games. It's also worth noting that their two forwards are Siakam and Onuoby. Note further that our two forwards are H-Gomez and Layman or one of those two paired with one of our many SGs. So it's not just that Rosas released RHJ; it's the the circumstances, including Gersson giving $7M per year to H-Gomez and rolling with him and Layman( backed up by SGs) at the positions that RHJ plays.

I suspect that Rosas released RHJ to make roster room and luxury tax room for someone he covets and expects to be released by another team. Frank Kaminsky might be that guy. That would be a bad move in my view. If he just released RHJ to see what might happen, that's even worse.

Ha. Third-rate basketball minds sorta think alike... ;-)

Lol. Too bad we don't have cap room to offer $7 to Kaminsky. I'm sure there's another team out there ready to offer that kind of money just as there was with H-Gomez. Right? Alas, we'll have to move forward without Frank on our roster. :(

I haven't heard this anywhere, but I just came on here to say that I bet this might be what's going on. If you heard it, then maybe there's something there.

That scares me. It scares me to think of who we might give up. It also scares me because I'm assuming the prize for Rosas would be PJ Tucker. I'm just not a big fan or PJ Tucker as an addition to the Wolves at this point in his career. But it ultimately depends on who we give up to get him.

Not a fan either, but I see this as an opportunity. To tie this to another thread, what if the Wolves trade JHG for PJT/pick, then move PJT at the deadline for someone with approx the same salary who is signed beyond this year, and maybe get a pick out of that?

I read earlier today that Tucker and the Rockets are actually working on a 2 year extension. He certainly could get traded after that happens but I thought that was interesting.
