Winning is the number one thing that should make him happy. If hanging with his boys is more important, he's not the right guy anyway. The true debate is whether DLO makes us significantly better or not. I have my doubts.

I assume that is his main priority as well, winning. I think RoCo is probably the better player right now at a much smaller contract, so personally I am on the fence as well if that was the offer (Teague and Roco). Going forward a few years, maybe DLO is the better player, maybe much better, IDK. I need to see how DLO does this next month and change before he could be traded.
Lets not forget a contract of about 30 million per year now. Considering how hes played i would thibk the deal would have to be for wiggins. Not only that isnt the play here that we also go in for booker after this. Cant afford him with wiggins deal (kat and dlo also). Dont deal roco for him. Even teague for him seems like we would be in cap hell and not good enough. I think wiggins is only option. Slide okogie into rotation to help the defense.
Before reading all these posts let's say GS decides to tank and maximize their assets.
Unless some team blows them away in a few weeks when he is eligible to be traded if I was GS I would keep Russell play him a ton of minutes where he will likely put up some impressive numbers and in the offseason deal him for a big package...all while knowing better what you can or will do in the draft.
If they are really tanking this year they won't want Covington. Again I think you are gong to have to blow them away with an offer. They gave up quite a bit to get him and he is a 23 year old talented guard.
I don't see any teams that are likely willing to give up a big package to land DLO. In fact, some GS fans think that Russell with his max contract has negative trade value and think they would have to attach a first to move him. Im not that negative on his trade value yet, as I think currently he probably can fetch a lottery protected first and a player like Okogie. I just think if DLO continues to play as bad as he played in the playoffs last year and as he has played so far this year, teams will just stay away and then GS would be stuck like we are stuck with Wiggs contract.

I'm pretty sure Russell started off slow last year too. If it was anything like Wiggins contract...the Warriors would probably do something like the Wolves are doing now...keep him around and hope for him to raise his value. If Russell ends up not being good then thank goodness we didn't get him. I really doubt he is going to be that bad though.
