One other consideration about what has happened this first year of the Rosas Regime. Naz Reid. The Wolves got this guy and probably figured he wasn't going to play for at least a year. Then he looked good in summer league they decided to lock him up on a Sam Heinke special. Then he played well in the G-league. He doesn't look too lost in the NBA games I have seen him play. So during FA the Wolves signed youngish guys like Bell and Vonleh as possible future players on the team but they ended up with a guy in Reid who finds their system well offensively and looks like he MIGHT even be able to contribute next year. Meanwhile they have Dieng doing a lot of the things they want their backup bigs to do. So a guy like a vonleh sort of got replaced in future considerations by and undrafted Rookie and in the now by a vet guy in Dieng. If Reid turns out to be a worthwhile backup big that fits the system well there you go hard to argue with that. He turns 21 in August. To me Vonleh is a guy that could add value to a team but man it's tough right now as a more traditional big in the NBA...which is thought Vonleh was gonna be more versatile than that.

He trades up in the draft to get potentially the worst shooter in the NBA after he clearly whiffs getting the guy he moved up to get. He trades away a 3rd of the roster for 1 pick, no other future assets and we literally don't have a PG left that isn't a G League player on the roster. The only competent pieces we had around Towns and Wiggins are now all gone so we are the worst team in the league right now. The Saunders hire looks abysmal given the how this team looks on the court prior to this trade and there is no prayer he can turn what we just got back into a viable NBA product. What a fucking disaster? We're literally living through Kahn version 2.0 right now. I'm just absolutely baffled and don't know what to do anymore. This is like watching the worst rube that calls into KFAN wheeling and dealing for a professional basketball team. Pretty sure we just hit rock bottom tonight and that's saying something given that this team has lived in rock bottom for the better part of 20 years.

Thibs was Khan 2.0, Rosas appears to be Khan 3.0 and McFail is laughing.

Thibs made the playoffs. Get outta here with the Kahn comparison for him just because you didn't like him. Turns out he's the only competent basketball guy who's been in the building for the last 20 years outside of Flip.
