The premise isn't necessarily the end result but the propensity to blow leads. I didn't check the stats but I'll believe you when we said we only blew 4 10 point leads.

Good audio here. Hard for me to be against Thibs. The players like the Coach, and the coach likes working with the players. I think Thibs is making Wiggins into the player that he needs to be for long term success. The more I hear him the more I am convinced he is the guy for this job. I'm fine sacrificing some wins now to get them consistently working on what they need to be a Thibs team.

Wiggins on when their defense will get better: "We can change it now. We can change it next week. Only we [the players] can decide when that happens."

Wiggins: "It's been great [working with Thibs]. You know, I like the coach a lot. He let's me play. I've been learning a lot. He's very hands on with coaching. He teaches you on and off the court -- all the little stuff he does."

Wiggins on if Thibs reputation as a hard coach is justified: "Mmm, he just wants what he wants. It's like a player -- a player wants what he wants. Coach, he wants what he wants. He's proven. His system works. We all gotta buy into his system."

Towns on what needs to be done: "We're only 14 games in. There's only 82 games. We don't have time to sit back and cry about what has happened so far. We got a choice to either change the tide from now on or continue this slide we're having. You know, we're professional athletes. That's just something that we as professionals -- we just got to wanna change. That's something that's part of our job."

Thibodeau on why Jordan Hill hasn't played: "Ahh, well you know, you just can't play everyone. He's been great. He's practiced well. He's a good pro'. His time will come."

Thibodeau on the league making adjustments to Wiggins: "Well, that's sort of the way this league works. He started the season and he was rolling pretty good. And so teams have loaded up pretty good on him. And he has to understand what the next adjustment will be. And that's all part of him growing as a player. And again, we had a good session yesterday. He had some really good looks -- he got to the free throw line 10 times. The other stuff -- the playmaking, we can get easy offense if teams load up to him like that. And he did make some good plays. We did not shoot the three well. We haven't shot it well the last couple of games. I think that's part of it."

Thibodeau's best quote today: "What you can't do is you can't allow shot-making to determine how you play, how you run the team, how you play defense, how you make hustle plays. You can play well without shooting well. And that's the big thing. And right now, we're not shooting the three like we did to start the season and we're allowing that to impact the other parts of our game and you can't do that. The things that we have to count on are defense, our rebounding, sharing the ball, getting some easy baskets, how we run the floor. Everyone's capable of doing that. Everyone's capable of sprinting back defensively. Everyone's capable of directing the ball to a certain area. Those are things you can control. Sometimes the shot going in and out, you can't control that."

Good interview...Thibs' interview that is, Wig and KAT, not so much :) .

Three things I like about Thibs:

-his winning record in Chicago
-his understanding of the game
-the way he handles the media, especially compared to Sam

Three things I don't like about Thibs:

-his reputation for driving his players too hard
-what I perceive to be his inflexibility...not sure he is capable of making necessary adjustments
-his .285 winning percentage with the Wolves

I wouldn't take anything from Wig and KAT saying they like playing for him...I don't remember them ever saying bad things about Mitchell either. Negative comments about coaches are only the domain of the bad boys in the league, like Cousins, and we don't have any bad boys that are going to speak their minds openly.

Another chance tonight for Thibs to convince some of us he's the right guy for the job. Phoenix is terrible, but they are ahead of us in the standings. Still, the bettors recognize that we are the more talented team and have us favored by 2...Vegas is patiently waiting for this team to live up to its reputation. But with the Wolves 4-10 against the spread this year (the Suns are 10-6), the smart bet is to take Phoenix.

I'm going out for some 60s nostalgia...gonna see Badfinger (maybe only Tim is old enough to remember this band) and some other 60s icons. I'm counting on you guys to bring home a win.

I don't think it's that they didn't say anything bad. I think they went out of their way to say things that echo Thibs. This to me is a positive sign on the coaching/player relationship as I see it. I really think Wiggins is enjoying the knowledge he is gaining from the film sessions with Thibs.
