There was not single team this year with as bad shooters as their starting bigs than Okafor and Cauley-Stein. Currently all teams that start two legit bigs have at least another with decent range. Cousins, Aldridge, Nene, Griffin, Gasol, Randolph/Gasol and Davis can shoot quite well from around 16 feet.
Even Monroe and Favors are better outside shooters than either of Okafor or Cauley-Stein. But still their teams struggle in offense when those players are paired with another big that cannot shoot (Gobert or Drummond) Even though Cousins is much better shooter than Okafor, Sacramento's offense is much better when he is paired with Casspi as a power forward instead of Thompson. Better floor spacing means that Cousins have much more room to operate in post.
Porzingis would be much better fit to play next to Okafor. Cauley-Stein would be good fit to play next to Bjelica though.

Lets say Flip decides Russell is his guy. Does Rubio's value go down if he is not traded on draft night?

If the other three players within the unit can shoot, I think you can get away with non-shooting bigs, especially if one of them is crashing from the perimeter. It'd be kind of similar to Thompson/Mosgov in terms of spacing so yeah, our others would need to be special.
Also, it's not a fantastic option, but WTCS has been getting better from mid-range.
OR Flip could just do the right thing and take Towns.

Would anyone trade Rubio , the 31st or Pek, or any combination of the 2 if need be to the 76ers for the 3rd pick.(hell I'd do all 3)
Draft Okafor and Russell.
at this point Pek and Rubio come with injury risks anyways. Or maybe Martin thrown in instead of Pek?
Russell/Lavine/Vet
Lavine/ wiggins/Martin/Russell
Shabbazz/Wiggins/Martin
Kg, Payne, what's his name
Okafor, Dieng,Kg

Not much defense there, Pork. We'd be giving up our best perimeter defender -- probably best overall defender and replacing him with a totally unproven rookie whose biggest question mark is defense. Okafor is also suspect defensively. Bad move.
The Wolves were actually pretty good early last season before Ricky went down. Imagine Ricky with a much improved Wiggins and an improved LaVine. Then add Towns to the mix along with 20-25 minutes a game from KG. This is no time to make rash moves.

What if we kept Pek, threw Martin in that trade instead and drafted Towns? The Sixes are front heavy anyways. Just spitting ideas.lol
yes we would be losing Rubio but by all accounts Russell is expected to be a good defender in his own right.

Pork -- Not sure where you get "by all accounts Russell is expected to be a good defender." Far from it. By most accounts, there is serious concern about his defensive potential in the NBA. Otherwise, your alternative seems better to me. But I still wouldn't do it.
