Lloyd....we dont get many to any showcase games, so to see the team play subpar and play down to the Suns who have been overachieving all season (2 Blazers wins) is of course going to get the ESPN and media twists and turns. Great point on your part!

Then privately talk to the guys about maintaining focus and supporting the team while on the bench. It shouldn't be that difficult to take responsibility for his play, he is the "superstar" so the majority of the time losses are and should be on him because he is held to that higher level. As much as I hate Lebron he is great at this, how often does he make excuses or blame his teammates?
Agreed 100%

The other weird thing about his comment is, how focused was he on the game? Clearly a decent portion of his attention was on things happening off the court (just by looking at the bench repeatedly to see who was cheering him on). But based on his comment it would appear he was thinking about this "problem" and what to say post game while the game was still being played.
Wasn't it about them not joining the huddle(s) during timeouts? That's a big difference than looking over at the bench and losing a guy on a pick and roll or something during the game.
You're right I read it slightly wrong oops. I took it as he didn't like their attitude on the end of the bench and also didn't like them not getting up for timeouts. I do still feel he handled it incorrectly and that the issue caused him to not be 100% focused.

Alex -- thanks for the reality check. Fact is, there is nothing new in a team's best player calling out his teammates. We can debate whether Love is as worthy as the likes of Kobe and Bird, but I see nothing wrong with a player of Love's caliber ( our only allstar caliber player) calling out players for pouting and not joining in timeout team huddles in a big close game like last night's. He's understandably frustrated by the fact that this organization has failed to assemble an adequate supporting cast around him. At the end of the day, this team's horrible record in close games is on our front office. Thanks to McHale we have Love and Pek. But Kahn and Flip have failed to adequately build around those two pieces.

Is that a thinly veiled diss on Rubio Lip?

Hey, Kevin: While you were looking around at the bench for teammates to blame, you and the rest of the starters blew a 9-point lead in the last four minutes. Oh yeah, that guy Rubio who got simply crushed by Dragic and then made the most stupid blunder of the game -- did you call him out, too?
Re: Am I the only one totally sick of Love's shtick?
Observer -- you don't call teammates out for failing. You call them out for not trying or not caring. In this case it appears that a couple players cared more about their own situation than the team. If so, then it was fair to call hem out.

Pork chop -- No. It was a completely unveiled diss of the Kahn and Flip front offices. But you knew that . :)
