Congrats to Ryan Saunders, who wins a title! First year at Denver too.

It's kinda crazy how Connelly can't even revel in the biggest accomplishment of his life.

I wish Connelly were still in Denver reveling in this accomplishment. He hit pay dirt with Jokic in the second round and made the no-brainer selection of Murray after Thibs stupidly passed on him in favor of Dunn. He took a risk drafting Michael Porter Jr with his back issues at #30, and that risk appears to have paid off. Interesting, Connelly could have have had Donovan Mitchell but traded him away for Trey Lyles. And Connelly’s successor drafted Braun.

So TC’s tenure with the Nuggets was a mixed bag. Take away the Jokic pick, and the Nuggets probably wouldn’t have made the playoffs much less won the title. How much of the Jokic pick was Connelly versus scouts in the organization is something we’ll never know, but as Denver’s top guy he rightly gets credit for making the pick. Maybe he can draft another gem for the Wolves at #53. Or maybe he already drafted a gem last season in Minott. TC was very fortunate to inherit great talent in Edwards, Jaden and KAT. His Gobert deal might have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. It will be hard to come back from a move as dumb as that one, but fortunately he still has the top talent he inherited from Rosas. Now we’ll see if Connelly was just fool’s gold for the Wolves two new owners.

Yeah, following 3-4 minutes of brilliance where he was unstoppable on offense...even with the amazing Aaron Gordon on him. What a mixed bag for Jimmy in the last half of the 4th quarter! His forced 3-point attempt was nothing but stupid, but I'll give Denver's defense some credit for his bad pass.

Imagine how high Towns' voice got whining when Butler got away with the leg kick three pointer foul...

... say what you want about Towns' petulance, immaturity or just plain choking. But there were so many plays in these games where I couldn't help but think "that's on offensive foul on Towns if he did that."

The guy has many legit problems. And a "bad" whistle from the officials is among them.
