Just enjoy the Ricky!!!! The Suns took a huge jump after signing Ricky, hopefully, he can do the same for the Wolves.
I look forward to just missing out on the playoffs again.
Ricky helped the Suns improve by 39 games. 19-63 (44games below .500) to 34-39 (5 games below .500). A 39 game improvement would be awesome!
I love Ricky. But he's not the right fit for this team right now. This team is build around DLO as our staring PG and second star. JMac showed great promise as a backup PG and it's not hard to find good backup PGs in the free agent market. It makes no sense to trade a #17 pick for a backup PG who will cost over $17 million per year for the next two years.

We're running a starting lineup that includes Ricky Rubio, D'Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, right? Like those three are all starting, I'm assuming.
Its for Rubios superior D....ugh
From a pure value perspective, trading the 17 for Rubio and two picks in the 20s seems like a pretty good deal. Rubio has been a starter his whole career and he's honestly probably gotten better and better every year. And the picks seem like a reasonable trade almost straight up. I feel like I've seen swaps like that often in the past. This feels like one of those, but with a starting-level PG thrown in.
I'm not thrilled with the backcourt logjam, and I'll be bummed if guys like Bey, Bane, and Terry are there at 17 but not in the 20s. But having two shots to get a decent player is nice to have.
And as for Rubio. I feel like I've gone in the opposite direction on this guy as most on the board. I was against us drafting him. I honestly thought the hype was way too high on him. People were talking about him like he was the second coming of Magic. But then after we got him, and a lot of the guys who loved him as a prospect soured on him as a player, I kind of went the other way. Especially his intangibles. I learned to really love the guy I was skeptical about. So I'm honestly glad to have him back in the fold. We need more guys with his kind of leadership and attitude on this team.

Nevertheless, here are the players left on the board I'd really like to get:
1. Saddiq Bey
2. Tyrell Terry
3. Precious
