People on the board have had to endure "Smartest guy in the room" syndrome from you for months on this topic.

Fun to predict how the events are going to play out, but man you typed with such certainty and authority on the subject. You knew every scenario, how it would play out, what everyone involved was thinking. You were one step ahead of this from the beginning. Comical really :)

I don't know if Cam is the smartest guy in the room, but you've held the Biggest Asshole title since you arrived.

JFC, give it a rest guys. Most people here have had one or many STRONG opinions and/or certainty about a given player/team/topic/situation around a sport/game we all enjoy. It's one thing to rib one another for shit (and sure we can come in a bit hot at times), but it's another thing to go out of your way to stir shit up. TF is the point in that anyway?

Well shit, now I feel like an asshole! LOL

As for who is the smartest guy in the room regarding basketball, I don't know. I do know I'm probably the least knowledgeable basketball person here! I enjoy this place because the people are great, and the conversation helps me understand the ins and outs of a game I like watching, but only played one year when I was a kid... because I sucked at it! LMAO!!

Cam your terrible person and your takes on Byron Buxton are wrong and I'm offended :) Duke your best asshole I know and I know a lot of them.

I don't know why we get so attached to our opinions on this board it's just sports.

The amount of personal investment into some of these takes is scary sometimes.

For example Does it really matter if DLO is a good basketball player or part of future or we should trade him? Or if you predicted the Ben Simmons situation?

Fuck I had first hand knowledge Twins we're picking Royce Lewis a month before the draft. Where's my damn Enjin Emmy! I was right damn it.

I also said Matt shoemaker was good signing and he had one 5 worst Twins ERA in franchise history. It's called a damn take for a reason.

I don't even know what I'm trying to say. Had my first two whiskeys in 6 months lol. Damn Rehab! Be better to each other and remember we can all agree that Glen Taylor sucks as an owner and that's why we're here in the first place.

Signed,
The real SMRT guy in the room

My narrative? I've based my takes on this subject from the reporting we've had available. That reporting pointed towards a significant holdout from Ben Simmons' camp and a suppressed trade market for him around the league. Both have largely been true. Like I said either earlier in this thread or another, the updated knowledge that Simmons wouldn't be able to recoup this money from his new team changed the situation from where I view it. For months this has been a fluid situation. It will continue to be exactly that until he's moved to another team. But it still doesn't appear that Simmons is invested in his current team or the organization.

You can simply join the other trolls who have an issue with me on this board, though.

I used to wonder if it was just me. Was I the only one who could see through you? But now there is evidence that at least a few of us have that ability, as well as many more who have left the board.

Now it's a party. We have the almighty geezer CoolBreeze44 here to spread some wisdom. You can see through me? Are you sure you can see anything these days? Give it a rest.

As you know, I agree with these guys, that you often come off seeming like you think you're the smartest guy in the room. I will however say that you also bring a lot of positive takes and I enjoy reading your comments. Just thought I'd pile on while adding some positivity also. This is a good board and you definitely contribute to that

The Spurs reportedly offered Dejounte Murray and Lonnie Walker to the Sixers for Ben Simmons, according to Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 - San Antonio. Philadelphia declined the offer.
