I didn't watch tonight's game, but he only played 17 minutes. Seems like Zona didn't need him to impress tonight with his teammates going for 17, 17, 17 and 14. He played well against Washington on Friday.
PS: Just went stat hunting to check on your guy Russell to see how he was doing. Seems like it's been a rough February sans his triple double game against Rutgers. Not a good sign, but hey, live by the jumper die by the jumper.

OMG, as soon as I saw Q's post I started bracing for Cam's reply. But Cam didn't come as strong as I thought. He went a little snarky, but not full-on Cam Snarky. LOL

I don't think Johnson will be a superstar in the league. I think Ron Artest is a great comparison for him. What Johnson will give you is great energy and defense and decent offense. I don't see him as a 20 point guy. I think he will get you 14 or 15, get some rebounds, play great defense. I think he is a guy who does the things to help his team win. Maybe not a guy you build a team around, but a very solid piece.

Well, Russell is the guy I've been most impressed with because it's so rare for a freshman guard to be such an all-around focal point for a top 25 team. But I'm honestly not married to any of these guys. I love it when any of them have a great game. I really want this to be a draft Flip can't get wrong!
But of the players we've talked about the most - Okafor, Towns, Russell, and Johnson - Stanley impresses me the least. I guess that's why he's generally ranked below the others in mock drafts.

I see Stanley is the least likely to be a homerun that is for sure.

Yeah, his finishing stats around the rim really disturb me and I still think his outside shot is a mirage. I hope I'm wrong - it's not that I dislike Stanley, but there is just something about him......

The finishing is really the big red flag. It won't get easier. He is projecting to be a 3 and D guy. He really needs to get the 3 part down though. I think he is making progress though.

If we fall out of the top 3, we should trade down and take Kaminsky. Another great game yesterday.

Kaminsky feels very Spurs-esque to me. He's just the kind of guy they would target: Highly skilled and IQ player that gets undervalued because he's an upperclassman and isn't an athletic freak.
Of course, the Spurs know what to do with a player once they get them in their system. And they are very patient (case in point: Corey Joseph).

So I'm curious, do you like the idea of Kamensky for us? He's not typically your type of prospect being an upperclassmen and requiring patience.
