I feel like Washington and Houston are simply playing Russian Roulette.
Does one have a shorter contract than the other? It does seem odd.
I'm convinced the Wizards will eventually get a deal done for Westbrook. I can see them dealing Wall and their #9 pick this year to get him. Pairing him with Beal would put the Wizards in a position to compete for a playoff slot in the East. Beal is 27 years old at a point where the Wizards need to take a big step if they want to retain his loyalty to the franchise.
Wow, OKC gets a first just to take back Horford. OKC is really stockpiling picks and they still may have more coming if they trade Adams or sign and trade Gallinari. I love what they are doing.
I have no idea how true this is, but I thought it was interesting that it was even said on NBA TV. Sam Mitchell casually threw out an anecdote about how in 2016 when he was with the Wolves him and Denver's assistant GM at the time Calvin Booth were both high on drafting Jamal Murray. He said that they both liked his potential and that he was a younger prospect. He then notes that the following regime that pushed him out of Minnesota wanted Kris Dunn and that was that. Denver winds up with Murray. It's obviously a lot easier to say that with hindsight at your disposal, and Mitchell strikes me as a guy that can be full of shit at times, but just thought it would be worth sharing here.
