Regardless I think you would agree that he wasn't a viable backup option at that spot going into the season. Pro football reference says he hasn't played a regular season snap at any tackle postion since 2012. Just sayin. :)

I agree. I was thinking it would have been Beavers, but he just was not ready to be unleashed on the league we snuck him on to the practice squad to fully blossom.

Is Kalil and Rieff like the only oline guys the Vikings have added in the last few years that they haven't suggested can play guard he even mentioned Remmers could play guard. It's honestly kinda bizarre even if to some extent it makes sense.

Murray getting ankle surgery. Should be ready by the season. If the Vikings knew and they still signed him they are morons and if they didn't know they are still morons.

Some news:

Scott Crichton released which makes sense especially after they signed Datone Jones.

Source: Vikings DE Brian Robison has signed a 1-year extension through 2018. Now due a base value of $7.5M over 2 years, $5.15M guaranteed.

SOB - Beat me to it.

Saw an article saying AP was asking for 8M for next year. :-) If only he played LT.

When you are 6-5 260lbs and run a 4.6 40 you deserve a 10th chance.

I just watched his workout. I've never seen a guy perform so well in that setting...

Floyd news is not good news.

Yeah it explains a lot doesn't it? What is weird to me is why has this whole thing been kept quiet. It's made Floyd look bad. Kahns is just one guy that's been ripping the guy (or his doctors)...and it was just left out there to speculate about. Add insult to injury he seems unlikely to play AND they have to pay him. Ok I don't feel too bad for Floyd but still.

Well I am glad we took Willie Beavers last year instead of a DT in that stacked DT draft. Word is the Beaver has been practicing both sides of the ball and will likely play both ways this year as starting DT and RG. He is likely a shoe in for HOF at RG, but should do no worse than AllPro at DT.
