I'd prefer him to Teague wonder what the cost would be for Memphis.
Memphis has reportedly been asking for a first. Minnesota would be foolish to give them that. Either they would be outbid or Iguodala would get bought out and have more attractive suitors.
I agree that would be a foolish move. I also think it's time to stop looking for mentors. Wiggins is in his 6th season, and KAT in his 5th. Covington is a 29-year old vet. Then there are Dieng, Napier and Graham, who have all been in the League for a while. So this team doesn't have a need for mentors. What this team needs are three-point shooters. More generally, this team needs talent and that talent has to match up well with KAT and Wiggins chronologically. Giving up a future 1st for an old vet who doesn't shoot threes well would fit well with them any dumb things prior Wolves' front offices have done. Fortunately, I don't see Rosas doing a deal like that.
Yes, I've read a lot of negative things on Culver so far this season. But he DOES have a nice upside. Rookies can be a mixed bag of inconsistency, but he just feels like he belongs in the league. Shot selection needs to improve but there is a lot to like.

I was as down on him as anyone. Hes better than I anticipated. His shot scares me and if he cant shoot long term he will lose the element of surprise he has now. His potential is wrapped up in his ability to shoot long term.
The only deals I am interested in is the sneaky good deals where we can find a diamond in the rough that teams like the Spurs, Raptors and Heat seem to thrive at. I am completely against shortcut trades (giving up value for a quick fix older guy to try to get in playoffs) or trading away draft picks.

I don't think anyone has any interest in Iggy for a 1st round pick. I'd guess t idea bringing him up is more about having a proven battle tested vet than any mentor ship. I don't see Rosas and his group Doing this type of move anyway. Unless this team starts to REALLY do something special this season isn't about winning as much as establishing something going forward. I'd say they are somewhat ahead of schedule especially considering they have had some bumps in the road already with players missing games etc.

I never suggested giving up a 1st for him, if that's the asking price Memphis ain't gonna get it IMO. As far as mentoring it really depends on the players involved and I was more thinking about Josh, JC & KBD but I do think AI could influence the whole team in positive way.

I still want a knock-down shooter. You can be conscious of the future and development of young players while still adding player(s) that can help you win right now.
RoCo is the teams 2nd best 3P shooter behind KAT I believe career wise. KAT is Elite, RoCo is very good, but beyond that we have a lot of unproven and poor shooters.
I think Ryan is trying to develop the young guys/see what we have. RoCo's minutes are down. KBD looks like he could be a very good shooter too long term, he's been knocking them down, but we need a lot more time to see how the trend is.
