I just think Ricky isn't one of our biggest concerns at this point. Sure, we worry about him staying healthy but he's not the only player in that box. Plus trading him now would be selling low. I would trade him for the draft rights to Russell, but that's not going to happen.

I think our biggest concern is acquiring all-star level or better talent, so if Ricky can get that guy I think we should do it. I don't think Ricky is good enough to get a known commodity of that caliber so the only other way to do it is to take a risk. There's also risk in keeping Ricky because one more injury kills all his trade value as a 14 million dollar injury prone player like Pek. If you can land Russell or Mudiay (I would add Porzingas to that list but I understand the argument against him) I think you pull the trigger. If you can't you keep Ricky.

Then we are keeping Ricky. Thinking Phil is gonna trade the 4th for a guy that is not a fit is silly. Winslow is a better fit than Ricky for them.

Ricky injury prone, so we better trade him? Then OKC better trade Westbrook, Cleveland better trade Kyrie, back to OKC they better trade Durrant as well. Everybody has injuries. Ricky doesn't have bad knees or ankles (like PEK) he collided with Kobe for the knee injury, and sprained his ankle in a scrum.

Mudiay is an unknown - I have read he is not as explosive as Wall, not as fast as Tony Parker, cant shoot. He's big, should be a good defender. He will be good, not great. We have good.

Yes cuz Rubio talents are equal to any of those guys.. Some players show enough superstar potential to force a bit of patience. Ricky is nowhere nears those players levels.

I think people are getting too excited about draft picks. The unknown quantity is generally valued more by fans than the known quantities in the NBA. Odds are at least half those guys won't be as good as Rubio, and the ones that are, will take a few years to even find out. And Mudiay...IF he pans out, will give us the same strengths and weaknesses as Rubio, but likely without the same leadership. So I don't even understand why that would be a consideration.
