Sounds like KG's retirement announcement will be out soon. Oh, and Pek is out for the season.

looks like another flop of a thread for me, although I'm not enjoying this mistake nearly as my Vikings doomsday thread

So far, so good. The fact that KG is doing this on his own and not jointly with the Wolves is a sure sign that there are still some deep wounds, but his tone here sounds conciliatory. My best guess now is that both sides say somewhat kind things about each other, KG gets his $8 million and a farewell celebration at TC, and

(the Wolves go on to win 55 games this season)

Nope. No disrespect to KG. But it was time. And the same goes for Pek at this point. They were good (great in case of KG) players. But if you can't play - than what's the point of tying up a roster spot? They can coach if they want to and I'd be fine with that.

My preference has been for months is that KG retire.

Jon K got this quote from Glen in his article.

Garnett spoke often of his desire to one day get into ownership with the Wolves, but it remains unclear if that is still possible after Saunders' passing. The Wolves have new basketball leadership in coach/president Tom Thibodeau and GM Scott Layden, and Garnett has little sway in the organization now that Saunders and previous coach Sam Mitchell are gone.

That would be a lot up to him," Taylor said. "Things have changed so much and does he still want to do that? We certainly will have the opportunity to talk about that. There's a lot of good reasons to do it and I'm open to it."

I would be curious what some thoughts are especially LST's. i certainly thought it was interesting and quite frankly a bit unexpected.

Edited added context for the quote from the article and added a link.

Monster, what are Glen's comments referring to specifically?

Ah good question. Sorry I didn't include context for the quote. I edited my previous post to include that and a link.
