But of course I'm a long-suffering Wolves fan and am clinging to the 5% chance that it might work out...I guess that's what being a Wolves fan is all about.

Agreed

It's also not JUST about those 2 guys. There has been other problems as well. Honestly even though I want to watch some of the players on the team and even though my expectations are low...I haven't been able to bring myself to do so.

I encourage you to give them another chance after the break, Monster...not because they are going to magically start winning (although hope springs eternal), but more because I think you will find them entertaining. They lost me (and most of the rest of the clinger-ons here) in that horrible Charlotte loss, but I'm actually a little excited about the second half of the season. Here's what has my attention:

1) the possibility of a deal (since this is the purpose of this thread) that will bring in a PF like Collins or Nance and rebalance this roster by reducing the wing glut.
2) curiosity about how different we might look after Finch has had a chance to practice for 10 days, with an emphasis on new rotations and accountability/development of Ant
3) The relentless energy of Vando, and the surprising maturity/polish of McDaniels' game
4) The return of Rubio over the past 10 games to his 2020 performance after a dreadful start to the season.
5) KAT's ceiling this season with continued recovery from wrist/recovery and Finch insistence that our offense run through KAT.
6) The remarkable efficiency of Naz in the pick and roll...among the best in the league.

Yeah, we're 7-29. But my list above is a lot to keep me interested.

At least until the next round of blowouts...

Thanks for giving me reasons to watch. I share some of these.

I also have noted Rubio's numbers have been plenty solid recently. His numbers as a starter are much better than as a reserve. It will be interesting to see if he is on the roster after the trade deadline. My guess is he will end up being moved in the offseason but if the Wolves do make a significant deal maybe Rubio will be part of it. I'm not holding my breath on expecting any worthwhile moves. Rosas isn't afraid to pull the trigger though.

To be honest I have no idea where this group is going. I haven't totally given up but I don't really have the enthusiasm to care much. I may have finally been broken.

Finch has been put in a tough spot. I will likely try watching after the break.

I just want to see it. Like Kat is 4-31 in his last 35 games. He is 2-3 with Dlo and he is 2-28 without dlo. I just want to see it.

In the end Cool with probably be right but I want to see it. Dlo was apart of a Nets team that was in the 75th percentile on D when he was on the court. So it's possible to develop an about average defense with Dlo in it.

I am worried though because Doogie is hinting Dlo is not happy with the organization. Doogie is hinting at he did not like Saunders. Dlo got surgery by the Nets doctors (they did his last surgery) and now instead of doing rehab in Minnesota around the organization he is doing it in Miami.

I still don't blame them for doing the Dlo trade. I want to see it on the court. I'm also prepared for the Wolves 80th rebuild in the last 20 years

You know you support a sh!tty franchise when we are fantasizing about acquiring a player we could have just out right drafted in 2017. Instead we drafted Justin Patton who is no longer in the league.

Yes. This.

It's ridiculous (unfortunate) that the Wolves are a year in to this re-re-re-rebuild... and we still know nothing about whether the two foundational pieces will work together on the court.

Let's see it in action. And then either scream for doomsday... or see enough hope for the future. Until then... we're in purgatory, albeit a very hot and humid purgatory...

Don't disrespect the great Justin Patton, he is getting minutes with the Rockets. Hahaha. We are such a terrible franchise

How can be unhappy? Hes been with the orgnzation for like 8 months. Screw Nba Players they're entiled pieces of crap. Maybe he learned how to lose rehabbing in Miami.

Take it with a grain of salt. He is rehabbing in Miami though. Doogie is known for exaggerating things to get his name out there or getting clicks

Why wouldn't he be unhappy?

Worst team in league. Didn't like the coach. Forced to share backcourt with a ball-dominant fan favorite. Constantly ripped for being the centerpiece in a bad trade. Unconventional midseason coaching change. And now an injury.

I'm not absolving Russell of anything... only that the Wolves are a trainwreck right now and there are many reasons for unhappiness.

Would you want anyone to be happy with the Wolves right now? If they were happy wouldn't narrative be they didn't care about winning and laughing on the sidelines or whatever? Wolfson's problem is he is too willing to share stuff he hears. I'm sure he does hold back stuff but whatever.

Let's look at Russell's career. Drafted by the Lakers and that time was kind of a shit show but they were still the Lakers and he played during Kobe's farewell tour. Eventually he gets dealt to the Nets. They end up being a pretty good organization that built a up a team with not many assets to a contender. He signed with GS a championship team with HOF players that he basically didn't play with. Then he gets traded to the Wolves who wanted him and he probably was excited about the opportunity and being with Towns etc and having a spot he could be for a while. the Wolves are currently easily the worst franchise he has ever played for and they are the team with the worst record in the NBA. I'm so shocked he might not be thrilled with his situation. *sarcasm*

Based on what?

Three things:
1) I've seen DLO play
2) We're not much better if at all with him on the court vs off
3) I have a brain

Lol, wow Camden, I wish you were an opposing GM
