What other teams? I'm not seeing the Cavs wanting what some of these other teams have to offer.

This is the problem I have also. Although I think it has been proven that this team is just as strong with a Dieng/Turiaf tandem it is with Pek, I'm only on board with a Pek trade if it brings back something in return that clearly makes us better, and I haven't seen any realistic trades that make us better. I've always been a Deng fan, but it seems to me Chicago is a better team since they traded him, and I would rather roll with the collection of SFs we have. And while I keep asking to trade Pek for a very good 2-way SG, the best option that has been thrown out is Gordon, and his injury history and below average defense make him suspect.

I wouldn't want to be Flip and have to solve this one. Maybe there just aren't many elite 2-way SGs.

I'm with you LST. I don't have a problem with entertaining offers for Pek and listening, but I really question whether we can get a good value in return. Whether Pek is here or not, Dieng will still get plenty of playing time next season. Even a fully healthy Pek should be limited to 28 -30 MPG or so.

I haven't seen any 3 team deals thrown around (might as well not even try to predict those), but that might be the route the Wolves have to pursue in order to get something of value

Long, are you talking about Gordon or Pek in that bolded part??? :)

I would move Pek for the simple reason of a shorter big deal with Gordon. He gives us something we don't currently have on our roster. A wing that can get his own shot. I don't have an illusions about him being healthy, but what will Pek look like in a couple seasons if he is already breaking down due to repetitive injuries.

I wouldn't mind trying to make a trade sending Pek to Cleveland, and maybe bringing back Waiters and AV.

That's a good trade for us. AV is injury prone but he is an expiring and wont have to play a lot of minutes with dieng and ronny here. He can play together with dieng as well of we go for a 3man big rotation.

Waiters is intriguing. I think he would fit well with rubio and love. Barea looks good playing together with rubio and i can see waiters doing the same.

Too much of a roster shakeup? Don't like it for us? Don't think Cleveland would accept it? Maybe they wouldn't, but let's not act like they're getting robbed in the trade either.

Trading two of Kevin's favorites on the team, but to bring in a 22-year old Kyrie... As much as I argue about Kyrie's inability to win, his talent is undeniable. Love + Irving is a P&R nightmare to guard.

Gotta believe those two have a want to team up at some point in their careers. Nothing legitimate to back that up other than their Pepsi commercials, but I have a hunch at some point in their careers it'll happen. Max both of them out next summer.

We'll have the worst defensive backcourt in the NBA after this trade, but we get our dribble drive guy as well as a young star to pair with Love. Kyrie's very capable of creating in clutch moments and/or making the shot.

Love, Irving and Martin as the three-headed scoring punch with Dieng getting his 10-12 every night. Three shooters in the starting lineup (the minimum you should have I believe). Love, Dieng and Mbah a Moute should more than hold their own on the glass too.

So much offense in the starting lineup I think we'd have to put Mbah a Moute out there to defend. Technically you could advocate for Brewer to continue being a starter, but MaM's consistent defensive play without gambling would be the better fit after this trade. Varejao and Dieng could switch places, but I think Dieng's already shown me enough to roll with him. Better at altering shots than AV and more mobile guarding the P&R. With Kyrie, Dieng's P&R defensive value would be even higher.

Still not a perfect team, but a huge way to shake up the team. If this roster didn't work out well, we'd re-sign Love and Irving at the max. Let Varejao walk and sign another player that can contribute.
