It really depends on if they are ok with being a 1st apron team and how much into the apron they are willing to go.kekgeek wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 1:39 pmThe issue is the wolves don’t have 8 million to add to their roster.Phenom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 1:14 pm Pistons are shopping Simone Fontecchio to help open up room for NAW. He's on an expiring 8 million deal.
The Wolves could do a S&T and bring him in. He fits nicely into a trade exception that Wolves own. He is a good shooter but could also be flipped for someone else if need be.
They shader are a 1st apron team and about 3ish million away from the 2nd apronPhenom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 3:08 pmIt really depends on if they are ok with being a 1st apron team and how much into the apron they are willing to go.kekgeek wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 1:39 pmThe issue is the wolves don’t have 8 million to add to their roster.Phenom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 1:14 pm Pistons are shopping Simone Fontecchio to help open up room for NAW. Spotrac has them roughly 9 million below the second apron with the reported salaries of Naz and Julius, which is a little of 3 million above the first apron.
There must be something missing there. It is closer to the 4 mil mark. Maybe it does not include Joan's salary of 4+ mil? Or the 750K of DDV's unlikely bonus?Phenom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 4:23 pmSpotrac has them roughly 9 million below the second apron with the reported salaries of Naz and Julius, which is a little of 3 million above the first apron.
They'd probably be better off using the tax MLE to get a point guard type unless they have someone in mind to flip Fontecchio for, in this scenario, that makes a tad more than that exception. They could also use the TPE up to 8.8 mil but the deadline is approaching fast. I believe its from the Kyle Anderson S&T which is coming up on its one year anniversary.
Trading for someone like Fontecchio buys them time.
It is missing JoJos salary but assumes Minott and Garza are in there as well, which would be a wash. I haven't seen any info on those options.60WinTim wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 4:31 pmThere must be something missing there. It is closer to the 4 mil mark. Same deal as Naz. Does this change anyone's view of the highly contentious Naz contract?kekgeek wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 6:59 pm Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. intends to sign a five-year, $122 million rookie contract extension, sources tell ESPN. Rockets officials and Smith's agent, Wallace Prather of LIFT Sports Management, negotiated the fully guaranteed deal through 2030-31 season.
Hmm. Sexton must not have had much value around the League. Could we have gotten Sexton and a future 2nd for Randle? I would think so. I’d expect a future 1st as well. Then again, Randle would have to agree to go to Utah because it would. have been a sign-and-trade.
