Of course, TC has a bit more work to do... The guards and wings are pretty good. The frontcourt? Not so much!

I don’t see it quite the same way, Lurkin. I don’t love the trade but I don’t see it Ball as the backcourt equivalent of Randle. LaMello’s passing and ball-handling prowess will blend much better with Edwards. However, I do see a parallel from an attitude/effort standpoint. So yes, I’m not thrilled. But I unlike the Randle acquisition which I was certain would fail, i think this move could work.

Well for sure, We had no good ball handlers or passers yesterday. Now we have one. I just found it tough to imagine us winning anything without any good ball handlers or creators and that was already a weakness with Ju who did provide some creation at times, though we wanted more.

Now doubling Ant is going to be tough.

The question about Balls effort and defense are the parallel. However being on a potential winner, could maybe get him fully engaged to come for the ride.

And how exactly will he be able to do work on the front court? With all the 2nd rounders we don’t have? With the 2031 pick I guess? Still don’t understand how the salary of Naz balances Lamelo. Cause we are under the apron? Will the trade exception still exist to pair with a pick to get a forward?

I feel lied to by this team. Waiting years to see Naz start. His lineups with Rudy and and Jaden are top of the list stats wise. This will go down as the nail In the coffin. There’s no fixing this one.

It's crazy to me to want Naz gone, especially when the metrics with him next to Rudy & Jaden were a bump from Randle. I think people too easily jump on him for defense, which he was improved with this season. idk man.

None of these fucking idiots on here seem to watch games. The rely on this board to become knowledgeable from game dvr reports or general sentiment.

Naz was fucking great at team defense this year. Fuck the stats and watch the games. We will score 150 and lose by 5 so often now. Rudy will be demanding a trade by November.

But for real this is the highest ceiling move they could have made this off-season.
There isn't a more perfectly matched backcourt than Ant and Ball. Their skill sets are absolutely the perfect compliment of each others

Keeping the previous starting 5 (as in the one that lasted for 24 hours), was completely reliant on Ant becoming a heliocentric lead guard, which could have worked but was pretty hopeful. Or it needed Ayo to really level up as a playmaker and ball handler, which was unrealistic imo.

I'll miss Naz a lot, but this is a good move albeit a risky one. Ant better being willing to step up as a defender now that his offensive load just got waaaaaay lighter

Yeah this works if that lineup stays healthy and plays amazing defense…Lamelo played 150 games in three seasons before last year. Ant and Ayo seem like they need a few mo this off or are on the verge of destroying their knees ankles. I don’t want them pushing that hard on D.

I think it was more likely the previously stated 24 hour lineup had a better chance of playing balanced team ball.

Plus now we have to watch Lavar every game try to sell us sneakers that fall apart.

One free agent name I've seen mentioned now is John Collins, but with LaMelo's trade kicker they are only about 11m under the 2nd apron with 4 spots to fill. Man...

Yeah, there are some more significant moves coming. Maybe Rudy is traded? Could Donte be moved after all? Of course, I don't know if we have any draft assets left to get something done!

For those that want to lament how terrible things are, can we please let the rest of offseason play out?
