Either way the trade looks worse if you factor in the player we moved plus #17. James Johnson isn't a more impactful player than Rubio but he fit this roster way better

I'm extremely disappointed they didn't trade down.

Can somebody give me a recap of what the Wolves have as of right now...
Thanks.

Flush your toilet and listen to it swirl down the drain. Wait for it. Okay, that's what the Wolves did with their draft picks tonight.

That sums up pretty much every year. Rinse and repeat.

There are still some interesting guys who haven't been picked. I know this draft is considered terrible, but honestly its one of the deepest in memory.

I was disappointed with #1 (and I wasn't even jumping on the Wiseman thing like so many others here)...

So from what I can tell... a young immature team that doesn't know how to win added...

Edwards, who is criticized for not playing winning basketball. And McDaniels who was benched by a really really shitty Washington team for playing crappy basketball?

Somebody walk me off the cliff I've been hanging from for the past 31 years...

Walk off the cliff.

James Johnson as an expiring could have also forced an asset + pick back to us in the 2021 or 2022 draft.

Don't do that. I will walk to a different team with you though. I do not watch sports anymore though, not once they injected it with politics. Drafts are still fun.

Sixers got a steal in Paul Reed at 58. Damn, three picks away from being an unsigned free agent.

Wait, did we for sure deal Johnson in the Rubio trade?

Ok. I just checked out The Athletic's post-draft discussion between Vecenie and Hollinger. Whether you think they're clowns or not... this is funny in a really sad, pathetic, keep me away from the kitchen knives drawer sort of way...

EDWARDS "just doesn't play winning basketball due to his shot decisions and poor defensive effort."

MCDANIELS "actually got pulled from Washington's starting lineup last year becuase he was so ineffectual. (Washington was LAST in the Pac 10). And this... "he was terrible at Washington last season - both on the court and off it."

Oh... but let's not forget this fucking guy...

BOLMARO "wasn't even my favorite international and I think it was a reach to take him in the first round, but he excites some scouts with his combo of size and playmaking. Not sure why Wolves felt they had to trade up for this."

Remember when I said I was excited for this draft... probably more than any other? THIS is why I don't usually care. Wow.

Why does noone even want to give some sort of benefit of the doubt to our front office when they literally broke down not only the analytics for months, but watched every minute of game tape from each of these guys, and surely more than all of us. Like I said, wasn't my dream draft, but we're talking as if we already know the result of all of their careers. Step back from the cliff gentlemen.

Pretty sure there were a lot of people excited about Derrick Williams, pissed at trading OJ Mayo for Love+Mike Miller, and on cloud 9 when we were able to land Maple Jordan for Love. With that said, while I think it's fair to feel disappointment right now if they didn't draft your guy, that doesn't mean they won't end up being the right guys. Right now we should be in the "what will the team look like" mode, and get some anticipation going for the upcoming season.
