Anyone more familiar with RJ Barret's game know how good of a defender he is? Could we add to DLO and bring in RJB?

RJ is the Wiggins of shooting guards, massive potential and garbage efficiency

Which of these deals are you pulling the trigger on? Select all that apply and explain why. Also consider that every offer here includes at least one player that has at least one additional year of salary on their current deal. These are the kinds of offers that I would expect to be out there for Russell if Minnesota were to explore trading him.
I've thought about if I would do a Beasley for Kuzma deal if for some reason Washington would agree to it which seems unlikely. I lean towards no but that's tough for me because I like Kuzma as a worthwhile NBA player that would give the roster something it doesn't have.
I think KCP is a nice complimentary player. Washington has quite a few worthwhile guys on their roster except at the PG spot. They got Ish Smith in the Harrell deal abs I would not be surprised if they resigned Satorasky to a cheap deal. Still they need a more legit starter. It would be funny if Wall agreed to a buyout and they brought him back. Maybe they could be a landing spot for Rubio I don't know what kind of contract he will get.

Kleber/Hardaway is tempting. I really like Kleber. Brings a lot of things to the table that inches us closer to that unicorn 2nd big playing next to KAT. He can shoot, he can block shots, he can move his feet and guard the perimeter on switches, he doesn't take dumb shots, etc.. He's lacking girth and strength to a degree and is a bit on the old side versus our core guys, but it's really hard to get everything in one package.
Honestly, I doubt Dallas would ever do this. DLO and Doncic would be a nightmare defensively for Dallas (at least in the playoffs).

I dig the Washington angle.
1) I think both guys would make this team better.
2) Both have imminently movable contracts. $13M for Kuzma, $14M expiring for Caldwell-Pope)

Wiggins is shooting fine in Golden State. Wiggins has never shot free throws well, but his FG% and 3 PT% are good, plus he's become a good defender. Wiggins worst shooting years were under Thibs, and maybe Thibs is holding Barrett back a bit too. LOL Knicks aren't giving up on Barrett yet, so no chance he comes back in a DLO trade.

How about fix the Lakers give them DLO & Beasley for Westbrook and three 1sts unprotected.

I think it's the least objectionable option especially in terms of salary. I personally don't think Washington would do this deal. Good point about Kuzma and KCP being moveable players. KCP would be a nice trade chip to make another deal.

Agreed. No chance Washington does the deal.

It sounds like poor Darvin Ham is supposed to make all that work. I'm a fan of Ham always have been but that's a tough job he has. I do think the Lakers can have more success with Westbrook than they did last year but in addition to figuring out how to make the AD James Westbrook think work they also need to have guys better at playing their roles too. Staying healthy would help too including Nunn. Westbrook played the most minutes on that team followed by a super efficient Malik Monk who turned 24 in February. Can they keep him? What does he get paid? Lakers only have 4-7 guys signed depending on player and team options etc.
